Employee ID Number/Ability to Lock Team members from editing their profile

As an admin we enter employees into WF however our company uses a employee ID that references our team members. I wish in the hard coded area that the team member would have a field to be used for ID numbers. This would be helpful when we search a team member in the data base we can search by ID number this would avoid duplication of names.

I can build a custom form but it won't be useful to see until you open that user/edit to see their ID number. Would be nice near their title and or photo.

This info would pull across nicely for a quick view.

If we could have the ability to lock the employee from editing their titles, and pictures and leave this for the ADMIN to select lock or unlock.

Thank you

I agree I have a similar issue here https://support.workfront.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115005754507-Mouse-over-Person-should-show-us... .

It would fit both of our needs if we were allowed to customize what data shows up when you click on a user on the "main" user page as well as if you could customize what data shows up when you mouse over a user or add them to an object in workfront.

Similar to how My Work and Home functions what if instead you could edit what info shows up when you hover over a user. That way custom form data could appear where you wish without adding a whole field/area to everyone that might be useful for some instances

I agree - I was just typing up this request, when I saw that you already logged it.

Employee Numbers: We also use these and they are like a social security number. It would be great if this was a native field in the user profile. I did create a custom form to house this number but the problem we run into is that is we make a new user by copying from another user - the original employee's employee number comes over. If someone doesn't catch this - it causes us problems.

Names: We'd like to have the admin ability to prohibit users from changing their name and/or email address in their Workfront. Business Case: In our environment, staff are required to use their 'legal' name in all applications/systems. Unfortunately, I cannot comply with this in the Workfront application because I cannot stop a user from changing their name or email address.

Absolutely sys admin should be able to not allow typical users to change their e-mail address - particularly if it's a WF + Proof integrated instance.

Changing the e-mail in Workfront creates a NEW user in Proof with the new e-mail address, while the old user is de-activated. Unfortunately, any Workflows referencing the 'old' user aren't updated, and the 'new' user doesn't necessarily have access to the historical information in Proof. And if your Proof instance is using Light users, sys admin can't even straighten this out and need to log support tickets. Meanwhile, the user is doing who-knows-what to try and work out why a) They're no longer getting proof notifications and b) access the comment/decision they made yesterday.
