We have a requirement whereby we need to list a preview of a document and view the customised data aligned to it using custom form values.
We have accomplished this by creating a report. This works well and allows U to share this information with our client, however it's not an ideal solution as the data in the columns cannot be edited from the report due to the report being set up as a "Document" report.
Data listed in columns can be edited but only if the report is set up as a "Task" report. The problem with this is that there is no option to add a Document preview to the report. So a bit of a catch 22 scenario and one thats somewhat frustrating. When we can see previews was cant edit the data and when we have the ability to edit the data, we cant see the previews!
Taking into account documents can be added to task I'm disappointed that document thumbnails aligned to tasks cannot be viewed on a Task report. Having this functionality available would be hugely beneficial and certainly win over our teams who currently have to adopt a lengthy work around at this time.
