Allowing users to edit their own names can potentially create usurpers and manipulation by accidentally tagging the wrong "Mike" and make decisions on proofs and document approvals

Definitely need something like this! We just had an issue where a user was able to change their entire name and we were not able to find their user account until we submitted a case to Workfront support. The user was also able to change their email address which caused issues with our SSO integration.

As a workaround, Workfront support suggested creating an update feed so you can find the users that are changing their own names. Here's the comment from Workfront support:

"Currently, it is not possible to disable or block users from changing their name or email address within their "My Settings" personal profile.
I would recommend reaching out to your users when their account is first created letting them know not to change this information unless given permission from an Administrator. However, there is a way to view or track these changes in the update stream on a user's profile.

To do so, you would want to go into Setup > Interface > Update Feeds > + Add Fields > User Fields > First Name, Last Name, Email Address. Therefore, once a user changes any of this information, you will be able to see that within the update stream on their profile under the People tab."
