CTRL F to Search Page No Longer Works Since Last Update

If someone is looking specifically for a key word on a program list of projects or tasks in projects the CTRL F is no longer working.

Now it will only find that key word if it is showing on the page.

This has decrease productivity for the team as now we have to scroll through the 800-1000 line items to find what we are looking for.

I get we can use filters, but not every user will know how to use filters and will do that and also when we are looking for that one key item it is a waste of time to create a filter each time.

Example - searching for the word Italy and it only exists once, why would I want to spend the time creating a filter task name contains Italy to find it, I would just scroll down until I find now...

this needs to be corrected, CTRL F is used everywhere and should work

I've upvoted. We had a ticket open with support and received this response:

I understand that Ctrl+F used to work in the past, but now your task list loads so much faster. And if you need, then you can use the filter, but you can also just search for the taskdirectly in the search bar as well that Ctrl+F used to work in the past, but now your task list loads so much faster. I'm not sure if lazy loading bought them better server performance or what... but it was clearly a trade off and worse on our end by killing "ctrl+f", which is a globally understood browser standard.

Important to know that they launched a "filter" shortcut that lets you jump to tasks with any specific text string, but filtering is not the same as searching. Running the filter doesn't give you a view of the task within a project plan, which stinks. Also training 600 users to click a discrete little filter button instead of using a global tool like ctrl+F will just never happen. I was also told this filter will get a keyboard short cut, but I'd expect it wont be "Ctrl+F", and I don't expect it to easy the pain much.
