Agreed! I don't know how many times I've entered all my time, but have gotten dinged because I didn't hit that little button. Then I have to log back in and I've lost all my time. Very irritating.
We plan to do a extensive redesign of the time management tools in the future. This functionality will be part of that project. Thank you for adding this functionality to the Idea Exchange.
@MandyAn It seems this has now been implemented on Timesheets, however when entering time in Updates, users still need to click a Log Time button. Our users are saying that due to the new behaviour in Timesheets (where no click is needed), they are often forgetting to click the button when logging time in Updates. They would like the behaviour to be the same, no matter where the user enters time.
