Announcement Banner/Ribbon for System Admins

I would like an announcement banner/ribbon system admins can use to make temporary, system wide announcements.  For instance, a lot of us will be OOO for Spring Break.  I would like to add a banner to let everyone know weekly intake will be canceled that week.  I know we have the Notifications/Announcements sections, but users don't always check those daily or weekly.

The banner would be highlighted at the top of the screen and everyone would see it every time they open Workfront.  I know the capability is there because a yellow banner appeared informing everyone that our instance expired Dec and needed renewing. I know everyone saw it because it caused a slight panic.  lol

It would be great if we could select the colors for the banner background to indicate the level of priority and select the timeframe the banner would appear. Currently we send an email from our Governance mailbox for these notifications to increase the likelihood users will read the message.

Thank you!

Great idea, upvoted. In the meantime, have you considered using Jumpseat? They have a feature similar to this where for a specified timeframe you can have everyone on log-in see your message. I haven't used that feature personally but know it exists! You can also specify who you want to see it (all your users in Jumpseat or only specific users/groups, I believe).

@Madalyn_Destafney is it possible to grant this access to another plan level? We have a System Admin and then a separate bucket of Planner Admins that can do almost everything a SA can but with a few restrictions.

@arappold are you referring to within Jumpseat (my comment above on Jumpseat)? You can create different roles within Jumpseat but it is moreso tied to what they see in WorkFront, rather than what they can do in Jumpseat setup. I think Jumpseat users are either admin or not.

@Madalyn_Destafney thank you for the quick response! I don't believe we have access to Jumpseat as it says the status is inactive in my account (I'm currently a System Admin). We have the Business license though, if that helps?

@arappold Jumpseat is a separate tool entirely, WF just allows for a native integration. You need a Jumpseat account to integrate with WF.
