There currently is no ability (except through the API) to have a report on a dashboard that shows how many planned hours are assigned to a person. If we are able to use "Allocation Date" in a task report (similar to a Project Financial Data Report or Resource Estimate Report) we would be able to report on this critical information required for Resource Management. Not everyone that needs to see this information will be Resource Managers on a project so they can use the "Scheduling" and "Planning" tabs under people, nor is it a good user experience to leave a dashboard to get that information if they are able to see.
