Ability to disable automatic status change on Issues

Currently when an issue is in "awaiting feedback" status, the status automatically changes back to "in progress" as soon as the primary contact takes action. This is frustrating in situations where a user simply comments to confirm receipt and the status should not be changed back to in progress. Admin should be able to disable this feature, or even better, this should be a feature that is enabled at a project level. This often causes disruption for my teams who have to constantly change the status back to 'awaiting feedback' if they still need information from a primary contact.

We are experiencing the same issues. When intaking projects sometimes a system admin submits a request to the queue for discussion. When they add an update while/after the request has been evaluated by our portfolio team it automatically changes the log/request status to "In Progress". Meaning even if the update the system admin adds to the project says "we are still waiting for feedback" the project will automatically go to "In Progress". This function does not allow our team much flexibility AND creates more work when the system admin has to track down the log and switch the status back to "awaiting feedback".

Three support tickets later we were able to identify this workflow! This certainly needs a notice on the status page about the undocumented use of this status, as well as a toggle to turn off.
