Workfront Fusion Connection To Azure DevOps Issue

I am in the process of integrating Workfront Fusion to Azure Dev Ops.  I've successfully created multiple scenarios to create and retrieve tasks but am having issues with the "Watch For Work Items" function.  We need visibility of changes to the tasks in Azure DevOps on the fusion side.

When I creating a scenario with the Watch For Work Items function I get the following error.  I can see that in the connection definition there is an advanced setting to specify App ID and Client Secret but this hasn't been previously required and it's not clear if this is the solution.  If the advanced settings are needed I wonder why it's only this function and what is needed on the Azure DevOps side.

The request failed due to failure of a previous request.

Hi Ken,

Were you able to resolve your error with "watch for work items" Devops module ?

Even I got a requirement to watch out for any updates for AzDo work items and sync back to workfront.

I have established Azdo connection and using that connection in "watch for work items" module and updated other settings to watch for user story updates, but getting "request failed with status code 424" error.

Thanks,

Antony.

Hello Antony,  it turns out the issue was permissions in Azure DevOps.  We eventually were able to engage our Azure DevOps team and the were able to grant access for the watch.  This question has now been resolved.

HI Ken,

Just checking. So you used Fusion DevOps module to retrieve Azure Dashboard user stores/tasks ? If yes how complex is this to retrieve data from Azure Dashboard and anything we need to keep in mind for this integration?

Appreciate your inputs.

Thanks,

Antony.

@antony6790 Yes, I am using the Fusion DevOps Trigger-Watch For Work Items.  If I understand this function it triggers if changes are made to work items in Azure DevOps.  You are asking about the Azure Dashboard, are you suggesting invoking an Azure DevOps api instance of the native Trigger-Watch For Work Items function?

Hi Ken,

Thanks for the response. Missed your update.

We are trying to Integrate Adobe Workfront with AzureBoards (https://azure.microsoft.com/services/devops/boards/)

using Fusion Devops module. Our requirement is to connect to Azure and read Project boards/users stories/tasks and create/update them in Workfront and vice versa.

Just checking if you did any Azure App registration with Graph API permissions and then connected AzureDevops using Fusion module.

Thanks,

Antony.
