Anyone have a good model for how to track products (price/revenue) and purchases when visitors are redeeming points or miles instead of currency? Is the only way to set up a numeric event and other "flags" so as to keep all purchases and "points" out of the standard purchases/orders/revenue metrics? I'm assuming I have to keep the products variable as is and just plug in 0.00 for the price. But not sure what that might impact. I can set a variable so as to filter out those products/purchases whe...

Given Report Builder offers the option for hourly reports would like to be able to add the hour into the timestamp of the filename else you cannot differentiate between the reports received in a single day.

Redemption Tracking

Anyone have some suggestions of how best to track products and purchases through a points redemption type flow? The products can be priced in dollars, points or a combination of points and dollars. A point is not 1:1 with 1 dollar and isn't really considered revenue. Is the best solution to simply set up a numerical event to track the points component and set the product revenue to 0 or the balance amount if a combination? I'm assuming the product category and product should not be changed regar...

Ah got it, totally forgot about the rules processing priority and how the last matching rule takes precedence. I modified my product rules such that now for each set classification the first rule for each set classification is the “wild card” mapping to “Others”. Then each subsequent rule for within each set classification classifies what it should be in the product name accordingly for that specific set classification.I have published the new rules and will let you know in a couple of days if t...

Product Classification of 'unspecified'

I have a product classification rule which is set up as a negative look ahead regex; '^(?!RT-|OW-|MC-|NA|[0-9]+).*' So if the product name does not meet that criteria it is then added to that classification report. I believe its because I am doing this I get an extraordinary number of 'unpecified' values in that particular product classification report (80%-90% of our products would meet that Regex criteria and thus is excluded). I cannot build a rule based on the 'included' product names as the...

I’ll have to pour through the code to see. At least it seems to only occur on the first hit for a session so that limits the rules, data elements and events I need to look throughThanks for your help

I seem to randomly get this error in the console and of course nothing fires. It seems to only happen on the first request into _satelitte and occurs on the getVar() function.I cannot duplicate so unfortunately can't trace or set break pointsAnyone else experience this or have an idea as to cause?ThnxJeff

Anyone had any experience with ad blockers preventing data from getting collected and/or image firing properly? If yes are there any workarounds I can implement or at least capture the fact a blocking did occur?I am using DTM to implement Adobe Analytics and am able to only change name of tracking object which I have done. We are using the Akamai hosted solution for the _satellite library.ThnxJeff

That sounds like a very plausible solution Parit and I hadn’t even thought about using a CSS Data Element. I will give this a try and let you know. Here is the production site. And the pages we host are the shopping and booking pages and that’s where you will see the session timeout warning and expiration; https://dx.flights.kulula.com/dx/MNDX/#/homeThnxJeffSite Optimization, Analytics and Reporting Principal

Thank you but unfortunately the modal is launched with all the elements and for Rule 2 the only thing changing is the textContent. Not sure it’s possible to write an event handler for textContent attributeThnxJeffSite Optimization, Analytics and Reporting Principal

I thought I could build two different event based rules for the same element with a secondary condition being the differentiation between the two so they both would fire. One rule for div.dxp-modal-window-content>h2 where textContent matches 'expiration warning' and the second rule being div.dxp-modal-window-content>h2 where textContent matches 'session expired'. But its not working only, the first rule fires. I am assuming this does not work because the div.dxp-modal-window-content>h2 is added ...

Thanks for the feedback and prompt response Jantzen. I'm sure the product team is aware but they should strongly consider making this an option to at the least stay on par with your primary competition; https://goo.gl/CTb4XX. It is costing you business without that feature.

Here is the challenge1. We need to be able to fire tags to different report suites that use completely different data models and configurations (i.e. SDR's) for the exact same web site2. We need to be able to have different tools, rules and data elements for the same web site. One set for our own uses and needs and one for our clients needs and uses3. We need to have security such that we can view, modify etc the tools, rules and data elements for our tags and not allow our customers access to v...

We are an Ecommerce technology solution provider to many clients around the world and often have clients using DTM for their own tagging deployments. Up till now we have been told we cannot run two DTM libraries on the same page (our customers and our own). Will this change with the Launch product such that we don't have to forego our own tag deployments (given the customer always comes first) via Adobe Tag Manager and can actually have two separate Launch libraries running side by side?

Make legends editable

Would be nice if we could make the legends editable. When you start stacking segments and metrics for a series the legend becomes rather long and cumbersome to have in a chart. I know I could resort to using calculated metrics and/or abbreviating segment names but I want to make sure even then the calculated metric or segment has a meaningful and descriptive name so kind of back to square oneExample I have a work space with 2 series comparing the last 30 days to the previous year same 30 days. Workspace Date Comparisons

With the new time comparison feature in workspaces is there anyway to compare two date ranges by day? Meaning I would like to compare the last 4 weeks to the same 4 weeks a year ago but break it down by day (same day of week) so that I could see Nov 16 '16 compared to Nov 18 '15, Nov 15 '16 compared to Nov 17 '15, etc. And have them side by side and even better have a line graph visualization with both trends stacked on top of each other?
