Re: Item Not Managed By This Service on deleteItem - Adobe LiveCycle 09-02-2007
A little more on this: I've found that I can create anobject, and it immediately appears in the list component so thefill method is picking it up. However, I cannot delete it withoutgetting the "not managed by this service" error. If I click aroundand trigger the fill again, it still gives the error. However, if Iclose the client browser, start a new one, and login again, I canthen go and delete that item with no problems. Anyone have any ideas?

Re: Updates not working - Adobe LiveCycle 28-11-2006
Nevermind, my mistake. I was thinking that the binding of thetextinput field to the data from FDS by the {} binding mechanismwould work in both directions. I tried manually setting themodified values from the text fields back to the data object beingedited and it works fine. Thanks

Updates not working - Adobe LiveCycle 28-11-2006
I'm using FDS with a Java assembler running inside a Tomcat5.5 server. Everything works fine so far. I use a fill to get mylist of objects and I can update those objects just fine when Idisplay them in a datagrid and edit them in the cells. However, when I display the same data bound inside individual textinputfields, the updates to not 'save'. For example, when I use a datagrid, edits to a cell result ina call to UpdateItem on the assembler. However, when I replace thedatagrid with a master/deta...

Re: HTTP, RTMP and AMF Question - Adobe LiveCycle 11-08-2006
Does HTTP offer a polling option? Or is there a way to useRTMP in such a way that a browser refresh won't clear thesession?

HTTP, RTMP and AMF Question - Adobe LiveCycle 11-08-2006
From the standpoint of FDS, can I use ANY of these threeprotocols (RTMP, HTTP, AMF-with-polling) to get the samefunctionality? The documentation seems to indicate that if I useRTMP, I might have issues with firewalls AND I will find that whena user refreshes the browser, that the application reloads and anew session is created. Can I just switch over to HTTP or AMF withPolling and get all the same benefits without having to worry aboutfirewalls and browser reloads? If I use HTTP or AMF+Polling, ...

Re: Flex Data Service Destinations and ClientId - Adobe LiveCycle 11-08-2006
Wow! Thanks for the excellent answer! That information reallyhelps me out. I figured out that by setting theSecurityContextHolder strategy to MODE_GLOBAL, the threadlocalstorage of the authentication token works in Flex Data Services. Iguess that the default mode does not put it into every placenecessary for use in FDS.I've got another question about the HTTP, RTMP and AMFrelationships, but I think it is best if I post that in a new topicso as not to bury it from others. I hope you'll be able to...
