Your explanation didn't mention "Pages." I think the main advantage of participation metrics is that you can use them in a Pages Report and get a full credit count when using a participation success metric.

Please change the default view for trended graphs from "show percentages" to "show numbers." I work with new SiteCatalyst users and upon their first login, the trended graphs always default to show percentages. I think show numbers would be the better default.
