I created a form in LiveCycle. A few days ago, the users could open it and fill it in. I made some minor changes. The most significant changes I made were to add a second page on a second master (instructions for completing the form oriented differently than the form), and to add a third signature field. Now, when I send it to someone to test, the page is blank except for the signature fields at the bottom. However, the signature fields aren't active. Putting the cursor over the form and clickin...

I have a form that I need to be able to receive back completed as a PDF rather than XML data. The form will be completed by people who only have Adobe Reader. The completed forms will be returned to someone who also has only Reader. I used a "submit" button rather than an "email submit" button and can get it to come back to this person as a PDF. However, when the completed forms come back, the person who receives them is unable to copy and paste the text in the fields as she needs to. Also, I ha...

Steve,Thank you. I had hoped the answer wouldn't involve writing script as I'm very inexperienced at it. But, I will give it a try. I appreciate your response. It makes sense.Gloria

I created a simple form and need to copile responses as they are returned. I have been able to set it up and it works beautifully except for the electronic signature fields. There are two signature fields. There are two signature fields. When I export the files as XML and open it up in Excel, there are three records for each file. The signature field is labeled "ns1: dataNode"; for two of the records, the column reads "dataGroup"; the third is empty. I am currently using LiveCycle Designer ES2 a...

Thank you, Steve. Your instructions seem to be for electronic IDs thathave a third-party certificate. Ours don't. However, I'll see if wecan edit to create the necessary additional signatures. Gloria

I recently created a simple form in Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8. It has several places for signatures. I sent along with the form the Adobe user guide instructions for creating electronic IDs and signatures. However, in several instances, our executives have given their administrative assistants permission to sign for them. The assistants are also required to add their own signatures. Apparently, when they click on any signature field, their bosses' signatures come up. Can someone tell me how one...
