Re: Can i reference an external Javascript? BarlaeDC - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi,How do you generate the finished form? as it may be possible to merge it with a data file, therefore you could change the code so that it looks up that data file, and any time you need a change you just change the data file and re-release.This is the documentation for what I am thinking.RegardsMalcolm

Re: Form attachment disingaged when email forwarded; reply all keeps form attached. BarlaeDC - Adobe LiveCycle
HI, I don't think that is a setting that can be controlled by the form, that is normally a mail application setting. There may be a setting you can change, but that is beyond the scope of this forum.RegardsMalcolm

Re: how to read form field values from adobe live cycle manager in java BarlaeDC - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi,When you create a form using LiveCycle, it does not create an AcroForm, it creates an XFA (XML) form. You can read here about the differences, but it boils down to you cannot access the fields in an XFA form using AcroFrom methods. What is the difference between AcroForms and XFA? – Appligent RegardsMalcolm

Re: PDFs with JS action dropdown menus, menus now don't work in MS Edge. Is there a fix? BarlaeDC - Adobe LiveCycle
HiI am pretty sure that the PDF support in Edge doesn't allow for the JavaScript actions. So unless microsoft add the functionality I would expect you would need to use another route.RegardsMalcolm

Re: Calculated fields auto-locking? BarlaeDC - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi ,It looks like you have some misplaced brackets in your code, and you are using a single '=' sign, this assigns a value to the variable and is always true, whereas you need to use '==' to compare values, try the code belowI have spaced it out a bit to make sure I got the sections correct.if(this.rawValue == "text1") { PartNum.rawValue = Num1}else if (this.rawValue == "text2"){ PartNum.rawValue = Num2}else if (this.rawValue == "text3"){ PartNum.rawValue = Num3}else if (this.rawValue == "text4"...

Re: Accessibility BarlaeDC - Adobe LiveCycle
HI, Assuming the form is created to be accessible, then that is what you will get, the server does not magically make your form accessible, there are some guidelines here, but you need to make sure you follow the guidelines you need for how accessible you want to make the form, and by that I mean, if it is for the UK Government, US Government, EU, etc.... they have there own rules for what is considered accessible.Adobe LiveCycle ES4 * Creating Accessible Forms Hope this helpsMalcolm

Re: Accessibility and Security issues with dynamic PDF created in Livecycle BarlaeDC - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi, I think there is a little misunderstanding of what is created out of LiveCycle Designer and the server products that products the final PDF files, they are not the same as a PDF file that is created from InDesign, Illustrator, or any other PDF creation app ( just about ) they are a specific type of PDF which is only really created by LiveCycle, this PDF comes with restrictions, not technically security but that is how it is shown in the UI. It just means that acrobat cannot modify the file s...

HI,You would use LiveCycle Designer to create the template for the form and LiveCycle Server ( or probably now Adobe Experience Manager would be used for both parts) but I wanted to answer your question directly.More details above AEM forms - Form and document management system | Adobe Experience Manager RegardsMalcolm

Re: Add multiple signatures in page BarlaeDC - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi,No there is no way to work around it as if you could it would pretty much invalidate the whole purpose of digital signatures as they have to remember exactly what is signed.Depending on how you are viewing the document it may be possible to see the document as it was originally signed.RegardsMalcolm

Hi,Looking at the code you have, it has a few mistakes in it that are causing issuesIssue 1 In the following line of code you are checking if the rawValue is equal to "1", not assigning "1" to be the rawValue; OCHR4400.Design1.Request.SIMandatory.SIReq.rawValue == "1"; This code should be OCHR4400.Design1.Request.SIMandatory.SIReq.rawValue = "1"; Issue 2 ( and this might just be the files that you have uploaded ) The case statement does not match the dropdown list that you are running it from Th...

Re: Highlight script does not work correctly BarlaeDC - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi Don,The reason your code is not working is because it is not actually being run. This is due to you placing the code on the exit event of the text field itself and this would require the user to move to that field and then leave the field and then you code runs.I would recommend that you change you form to add this code to the end of the code that your 'addAttachment' button runs and then the form functions as I would expect.if (NumberOfAttachments.rawValue > 1) { RectangleYellow.presence = "...

Re: Is there an event that fires when adding attachments BarlaeDC - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi,There is not event that fires, but you could control the JavaScript to add the attachment using the importDataObject (see the Acrobat JS API Reference document for details), if you don't specify the cDIPath parameter it will display a dialog. You could then run additional JavaScript after you have made the above call, the function returns true if it was able to import the file and therefore you could use this to control if you run you code or not.The Acrobat JS API reference document can be do...

Re: Referencing and comparing strings in different dynamic subforms with For loop BarlaeDC - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi Jo,Having looked at the code and it appears that the problem is caused by this linethis.rawValue = this.rawValue + myTemp2.corresp.rawValue;The 'this' object is referring to all the instances of the correspTotal for that table and therefore everytime it is run it is adding the totals to all of the fields, I think this needs to be changed to refer to the specific instance of the correspTotal field you are wanting to add the value to.I am still investigating how to do this but I thought I would...
