Re: Start camera feed without asking user permission on mobile she_ugly - Adobe LiveCycle
Actually, it'd be very easy to spy on someone when coding a native Objective C application on the iOS. In fact, with enough dedication I know it's technically feasible to do the same thing with Adobe Flash Builder, just I don't want to have to senselessly go through that pain. The iOS doesn't ask users to verify starting a camera feed and it shouldn't - if an application is running, the permissions issues have all been worked out because of Apple's security model, unlike Android, where you have ...

Start camera feed without asking user permission on mobile she_ugly - Adobe LiveCycle
I was all proud of myself because I got a working video demo using the "WebCamera" class on my iPod Touch but it has one irritating problem: the user is asked to start the video feed. Is there any way to override/disable this so the feed starts when the user clicks on one of my buttons? It seems silly and useless that a user should have to navigate through both my menu and then click another button to start the camera feed.

Re: LCCS on Amazon EC2 she_ugly - Adobe LiveCycle
Ya I think you're a little confused on what LCCS is my friend - LCCS is an all-in-one solution. It takes care of the whole conferencing problem with minimal code, making Adobe do all the heavy lifting. FMS isn't used at all - I don't think it's even possible to use a combination of LCCS and FMS because that would be pointless - FMS already has handshake galore built-in. The only reason you'd want to use FMS is because deploying your own FMS cluster in the long run might be cheaper than LCCS (but...

Re: Beta version of Spark LCCS she_ugly - Adobe LiveCycle
Is there any way to hack/force front-facing camera support? I understand the feature is probably disabled because Android devices are a nightmare on the front facing camera thing but I'm building an iOS app and there shouldn't be any technical trickery to make it work.

Re: LCCS on Amazon EC2 she_ugly - Adobe LiveCycle
I'm assuming you want to do this to avoid the expensive video transfer bandwidth fees? In which case, using LCCS and specifying that you only want to allow peer-to-peer connections will just use LCCS to do the handshake and keep it dirt cheap.

Re: Overlay on Webcam Video she_ugly - Adobe LiveCycle
More or less a "mask" - I'm thinking perhaps just temporarily putting a transparent .PNG on top of the video feed? Would Flex permit that?Ideally, I'd like to also do real-time video effects like Flash permits:http://www.flashcomguru.com/index.cfm/2005/9/29/Live-video-effects-in-Flash-8--a-small-demo-appBut I think I would have to make the whole application in Flash if I wanted to do that, and I'm not confident the iPhone has enough processing power to do that.

Overlay on Webcam Video she_ugly - Adobe LiveCycle
Hello all,I confess I'm still a total newbie with Flex so I'm more or less throwing this out there to get an idea of technical capability. I'm trying to create a mobile flex application that first overlays a simple cut-out of a person on top of a live video stream from the front facing camera before doing a 2-way chat. The idea is to help users all have the same mobile chat experience (i.e. I want their face taking up most of the display) - is this technically possible?Would any generous soul be...

Recording LCCS webcam video she_ugly - Adobe LiveCycle
I'm building a mobile application that LCCS seems perfect for with one exception: there doesn't seem to be any way to record client video streams. The natural structure of LCCS with peer multicasting looks like there is no server middle-man that would have the ability to record RTMP streams:http://learn.adobe.com/wiki/display/lccs/09+Peer-to-Peer+Data+Messaging+and+AV+MulticastingHence, I'm wondering if anyone has any brilliant ideas on recording a local webcam's video and an incoming video strea...

Re: Video with 4.5.1 on iOS she_ugly - Adobe LiveCycle
Hey Raff,I am a total newbie with Adobe Flash Builder and have been ripping my hair out for the last few hours because I've never coded in this language/platform. Is there any chance you might be willing to post the whole Eclipse project for this iOS video ordeal?I tried just importing your CameraView.mxml but there are errors all over the place and I don't know enough how to diagnose them. Foe example:"Description Resource Path Location Type1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time con...
