Hey Guys, I have mocked up a simple form where I am tring to add instances of a subform using the following:Subform2.instanceManager.addInstance(1);xfa.form.recalculate(1); When I add some instaces and check the count of the instances the count seems to increment but the added instance of the subform isn't displaying. Could someone be able to have a quick look at my pdf, I'd say I'm just missing something simple? Thanks,James

Sorry if this has been asked before.I have a form that has a number of mandatory fields. So when I don't have these all filled in and hit the complete it doesn't complete and pops up a message box to notify me about the field. Thats all fine and dandy! Now if I save the form as a draft it goes to my to do list, so when I hover over my process card a little image of a green tick appears with a tooltip message of "Complete"When I hit this little icon the process dissappears. Does this mean the the ...

Hi all,Is there anyway to have customized Task Instructions??I have set the task instructions value in the adminui on the task manager endpoint to static text for the moment. So when I start my process, and then save it as a draft it appears in my to do list with "Complete member review." (my static text). What I would like is for it to say "Complete member review firstname surname." Where firstname and surname are taken from values off the form.My initial feeling is that its not possible but the...

Paul,Thanks, that will solve my problem for the XMLData parameter. The only outstanding issue then is the IP which I'm struggling with.In the Print service a PCL file gets created and saved to a location on the server. The printing system we have here requires a PCL file named as .pcl so thats why this is a requirement. Thanks again for the help!

You will need to use the generatePrintedOutput and generatePDFOutput services that come with LiveCycle Output ES.Here is a very good article to help ya get started and has a good example:http://www.adobe.com/devnet/livecycle/articles/process_output.html

Alright thanks Paul. The way I'm going to do it is to have a livecycle process that excepts an xml file as input and a string declaring which form to use. This process will generate some PCL (generatePrintedOutput) and save the PCL file off to a specified location (writeDocument). I will use a web service call to invoke this process via a seperate form (Form Guide). Can you see any problems with this approach or should this work as I expect??

Hi,Hopefully someone has done this before. What I would like to do is have a button on my form guide that when pressed will save an xml file off to a folder on the server. I will have a seperate process that is watching this folder, take the xml as input, render with a form as pcl file and save in another directory.I'm having two problems:1. Can I use javascript behind the button to save the xml file to a seperate location??2. How do I go from xml and a form (xdp) to a pcl file??Thanks in advance...

Figured this puppy out at last...I added two buttons on my form. One is set as a submit button (Submit) and one is a regular button (Validate). Behind the click event on the Validate button I do all my validation checks etc.. and if every thing I need to be filled in is correct I call the following Submit.execEvent("click"); In the form guide properties I set the following properties:Submit Form: GuideSubmit Button: ValidateThats it, hopefully someone finds this useful!!

Call web-service from on screen form guide

Is it possible for a Web Service to alter the fields on a Form Guide that is presently on screen?? I'd like the user to be presented with the form guide, they enter in one (or two membership numbers) and press a button that is displayed on the form guide. Can this button have javascript behind it to call a web service, passing it the one/two membership numbers, and return personal data for these one/two members and for this data to be displayed to the user on the form guide ??
