AEM Forms 6.4 (OSGi) - Maven Dependency and Java API reference PriyankP - Adobe Experience Manager
Hello Experts, Need some help. I am migrating from AEM Forms 6.2 (OSGI) to AEM Forms 6.4 (OSGi). I am using Java API to invoke OutputService. For AEM 6.2, I used the following maven dependency - com.adobe.aemfdaemfd-client-sdk6.2.0But if I update the version from 6.2.0 to 6.4.0 for AEM Forms 6.4, it is not working. I tried searching for Adobe's documentation but I could not find any information regarding maven dependency. Also - for AEM 6.2, I used the following link to get API documentation for F...

Hello Experts, I am trying to create an XDP template where I need to place and Image and Text next to each other. Both text and image will come as a part of the input XML. Requirement is to wrap the text around the image, if the height of Text is greater than Image. I tried multiple things but I could not find a way to do this.Attached is the screenshot. I need to be able to place the 2nd and 3rd paragraphs directly under the image and their width be 100%. Is this even possible with AEM/Livecycl...

Creating or extending a new AEM Adaptive Forms Component PriyankP - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Hello Experts, Is there a way to create/extend new Adaptive Forms Component? I am looking to extend the capabilities of Static Text Component so that I can have placeholders within the static text and be able to provide data bind reference for each placeholder. How can go about doing this? Is there any documentation that points to how I can extend a AF component? Thanks & Regards,Priyank P

Re: Are there licensing rules for created dynamic PDFs from AEM Forms 6.1? PriyankP - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
If you are generating read-only dynamic PDFs, there are no additional licensing requirements (apart from what you have already paid for AEM Forms). You need additional licensing (called Reader Extensions) if your requirement was to generate an Interactive PDF (with form fields) and wanted ability to Save the PDF with filled data. I am using the following Maven dependency on my project. com.adobe.aemfd aemfd-client-sdk 6.2.0 The code compiles fine, but when I deploy the package on my local instance, the bundles shows that it is unable to resolve the package com.adobe.icc.ddg.api,version=[3.1,4) -- Cannot be resolvedI checked depfinder and it shows the Maven dependency as below (please also see the screenshot). com.a...

Re: PDF Form with Workflow and Digital Signatures PriyankP - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
nareshp9284939 wrote... Hello All, I am very new to AEM space, so please excuse if question sounds very basic to you. But please help me understand the dos and don'ts. Here is the situation. At our organization, we had been using paper based forms. The users could go online, download the form, print it, fill it (by hand), sign it, scan it and send to appropriate personeel for approval signature. In the end, the form will end up in HR or payables with all required signatures. We purchased Adobe's...

Re: Floating Fields in Adaptive forms PriyankP - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
deepak k. wrote... You can use fillable text box in disabled mode(disable via rule). You mean - derive/calculate the entire paragraph as a part of Javascript and assign it to a textbox ? Well - I did think of this option earlier but I had to let that go because 1) The actual content (paragraph text/language) is in the Javascript. Which means I can't let my business users have control over it OR i can't use the dictionary for multi-language support.2) I won't be able to handle RichText as TextBox...

Re: Prefill Adaptive Form when calling from External Application PriyankP - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Update:Here's how I ended up implementing the solution. I dropped the idea of using HTTP protocol for prefilling Adaptive Form, because it did not support authentication. I ended up creating a custom template and prefilled the XML by setting data attribute it slingRequest.

Is it the correct way of merging XDPs? If not, how can I fix it? Please see this link - http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/11.0/ddxRef.pdfIt should have examples of how to merge XDPs correctly.

Re: Create one PCL from multiple forms? PriyankP - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
BjornEricsson wrote... No, each form is designed with its own schema. Our business systems then take these separate schemas, populates some of the data ond puts them in the container schema. The container schema has a fixed top level hierachy and then allow any number of nodes with the form specific data in the node. It is impossible to move all of this in to one schema. In that case - all the data bindings on all the individual XDPs have to be as per the 'container schema' not as per individu...

Re: Watermark dynamic PDF? PriyankP - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
BjornEricsson wrote... Is it possible to watermark dynamic pdf? I tried the watermark function of Assembler Service but got 'PDF document "test.pdf" has dynamic XFA forms and cannot support content operations.' Is there any other way that might bring success? Try flattening the document first by passing...

Re: Version control Applications? PriyankP - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
I am assuming you are using the AEM Forms JEE and using Workbench to create the applications/processes. Unfortunately, there is no out of the box way to connect with GIT or SVN etc.We typically exported the LCA and stored the LCA in version control systems. Regards,Priyank Pardiwala

Re: Create one PCL from multiple forms? PriyankP - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
BjornEricsson wrote... I followed your outline and made a small Proof-of-Concept with two XDPs, an XML for each XDP (used for data mapping), a DDX, the process and a combined XML container that holds both XMLs. It runs, combines the XDPs, and creates one PDF from the two forms (I will move to PCL once PDF works). The problem is that the fields are not populated. What did I miss? Does all your XDP follow the same XML Schema (XSD)? The structure of XML must remain the same. My guess is that your X...

Re: Create one PCL from multiple forms? PriyankP - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
You should be able to use Assembler to combine XDPs to get a master XDP and then merge this master XDP with XML file using GeneratePrintedOutput service (an Output Service) to generate PCL directly. I don't see a reason why you would have to re-write all the binding expressions. For printer specific settings (like duplex/simple printing or tray selection etc), you could create an XDC file and pass it as an input to the GeneratePrintedOutput Service.

Floating Fields in Adaptive forms PriyankP - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Hello Experts, I am working on a project where we are creating dynamic Adaptive forms. Within that Adaptive form, we have a requirement to put Static text (disclosures, information etc). The static text can have some placeholders where data from XML needs to be populated. For example, it could be a information text such as - "You credit card allows you to withdraw $10000 a month" . Here the $10000 must be populated from prefill XML. I know in Livecycle world, we had something like Floating Field...

You can create a client-lib for your adaptive form and create a custom js file. Once you assign the clientLib to Adaptive Form, all the functions that you define within it should appear in the Rule editor. Please see my screenshots.

Re: Prefill Adaptive Form when calling from External Application PriyankP - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
asomani wrote... Hi, It depends on how you are getting your prefill XML. If, you are saving this XML in your file system, please use file:// protocol. If you can ensure saving it in crx, do use, CRX protocol. Same goes for http:// protocol, if you can specify the HTTP location of the XML. You can do this, when you are embedding your adaptive form url within links, just extend them to these protocols and use the extended url. I get a feeling, that "Setting data attribute in slingRequest" this wou...

Re: Populating Table Dynamically From Database Table Based on Dropdown Selected PriyankP - Adobe LiveCycle
To allow selection of multiple items from a list of items (without allowing duplicate selections), i suggest you use a ListBox instead of a dropdown list. Dropdowns are typically useful for a single value selection out of multiple values. To populate table values from Database dynamically you will have to make a SOAP based webservice call from within the form. There are number of examples available on internet to show you how to make WS call from the form. But - remember, you will need to use Re...
