What version of LCDS are you using? Here is a link to the LCDS 4.6 guide that describes starter steps for JBoss, Weblogic and WebSphere. You can create a Flex based app of your choice (hello world or otherwise).Hope that helps.Rohit

1. Make sure you have applied all LCDS server patches and consider setting the "connection-idle-timeout-minutes" NIO config option. See http://livedocs.adobe.com/livecycle/8.2/programLC/programmer/lcds/help.html?content=lcconfig_4.html.

Hi workflowuser,LCDS 4.6 supports generation of corresponding JavaScript beans for the entity. Take a look at the following page for how it can be done:http://help.adobe.com/en_US/dataservicesjee/4.6/Modeling/WS3aefc5aa2cf947945e1065a1133ae52599b-8000.htmlOnce the JavaScript bean is generated, you can follow the rest of the documentation in the link above.Hope that helps.Rohit

I believe the location is correct. You can enable LCDS logs to see if there are any issues with licensing (see documenation for how to do that).Rohit

Consider using the ManagedRemotingContext class. It provides ability to submit CRUD operations to Assembler. Take a look at its javadoc at: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/dataservicesjee/4.6/APIReference/flex/data/ManagedRemotingContext.html.Rohit

Can you enable LCDS logging and see if you are seeing any errors? What client (Flex, JS, iOS, Java) are you using? In general, you can bound the timeout on request. Look at the documentation for client (Flex, JS, iOS, Java) are you using, for how to do it.Rohit

One option is to code up a Managed Remoting POJO on the LCDS side, whose methods internally delegate calls to the corresponding methods on the Spring bean by looking up the Spring application context. Thanks,Rohit

Hi,Remoting and Managed Remoting are two different types of destinations. While specifying a custom factory for remoting destinations certainly works, using it for Managed Remoting destinations is something that hasn't been exercised and tested. Hence your mileage may vary.Rohit

You are not getting a channel connection between the AIR app and the server. You have to create ChannelSet and Channel explicitly in the script block of your MXML file. Take a look at http://help.adobe.com/en_US/dataservicesjee/4.6/Modeling/WSf25ff5e57409435b3968fb6f130dbb21d03-8000.html how the channel set gets set on the service.Rohit

#1. You should get hold of the hot fixes for your version of LCDS and apply that.#2. I believe LCDS 2.6 is not supported on Win 2008 server.Rohit

Hi,When you launch Data Services and enable info logging, you should be able to see the version that you are using. The type of license e.g. beta etc. is usually also visible in the log as well. If you can let us know the LCDS version, we can provide specific advice.Rohit

Hi Chuckles,A few questions:1. How are you declaring your destination in datamanagement-config.xml? 2. The above code also looks suspect and is incomplete: E.g. you have declared a proxy for the parent and child and don't even use it anywhere. 3. Also, why do you need a beanproxy, when you can directly pass the value object to DST. LCDS will ensure that the object is sent appropriately to the client. Try it out Rohit

Hi Murtaza,This could happen because the HTTPService cannot find the URL. Some things to try out:1. Is the service accessible at http://adfdevp.alshaya.com:7013/RESTEmployeeDetails-EmployeeDetails-co ntext-root/jersey/restlab? The URL looks suspect with "-context-root" in it.2. Take a look at the following page: http://cookbooks.adobe.com/post_Flex_Error__2032__Stream_Error-17265.html. It talks about catching the fault event and getting more info.Rohit

Ensure that your LCDS webapp is deployed under JLCAPP. How are you exposing your message broker servlet in web.xml? As per your config above, message broker servlet should be exposed as /messagebroker.Rohit

Hi Anshul,As per your previous post, DS was deployed on port 8400 and web server on port 8000. Your servlet channels should have the DS port# (8400) in its URL. The channel declaration in services-config.xml has port 8000, which is clearly incorrect and that explains the error you are seeing on the client side. Also, how will the webserver tomcat log show entries from DS server. That seems an anomaly as well.Rohit

[Inline]I have two doubts -1. Do I need to import rpc.swc in my Flex project lib folder? You need the rpc.swc in order to communicate. That said, it should automatically get included by the project when you create one.2. There are 2 tomcat servers running on my system, one by LiveCycle DS ES(port No : 8400) and second on my WebServer Tomcat(prot No : 8000). The url that I specify in proxy-config.xml should contain Port No of Webserver i.e. http://localhost:8000/JLCAPP/hello.jsp or port no of Live...
