Drop Down list maintenance in repeating rows??? chrisb29762052 - Adobe LiveCycle
I figured out how to update all my drop down lists from a table as long as the Drop Down list is not in a repeating row. In this case it only apply to the Drop Down list of the first row.I am using the click function of a button to apply my script.I clear the Drop Down list with something like this:Form51188_2013.MaintenancePage.Button3::click - (JavaScript, client)Form51188_2013.Page_1.Dive_Particulars.CallReceivedBy.rawValue = null;Form51188_2013.Page_1.Dive_Particulars.CallReceivedBy.clearIte...

Re: Populate drop-downs from table?? chrisb29762052 - Adobe LiveCycle
It works now. There was a typo error in my code which I would attribute to a glitch with LC. I am now using the code in a button to update as I wish.

Populate drop-downs from table?? chrisb29762052 - Adobe LiveCycle
I read the discussion on this function and created a sample form to test the code before implementing it in my main form but I can't get it to work. This is what I put in the "preOpen" of the Drop Down list: form1.DropTest.DropDownList3::preOpen - (JavaScript, client)// First clear the items from the list this.rawValue = null; this.clearItems(); // Build new items var nRows = xfa.resolveNodes("form1.DropTest.Table1.Row1[*].Name"); for (var i=0; i

I just can't find this posting again. Can someone point me to the link or help me with the script thanks.

I had only tested with the Designer's PDF-Preview . Further to your question I went back and tested with Acrobat XI pro and Acrobat Pro DC latest version with the same result.

Re: Changing Font size and type face for all field?? chrisb29762052 - Adobe LiveCycle
I was trying to only control font size and type while allowing users to keep the flexibility to use color, bold, underline, etc to highlight some of the information when bringing there text over. Plain text does allow for it. So far, from all that I have read , this is not possible because Livecycle is not able to control the attribute of Rich Text from Word being imported into a Rich Text box in Livecycle.

How to Concatenate repeating sub forms within sub forms? chrisb29762052 - Adobe LiveCycle
I have been able to achieve my goals with my form but have one last issue. I would like to be able to concatenate the information of my report. I am not a programmer. My understanding is that I would need to create loop within loop with the concat function in the calculate event to achieve my goal. I tried with not much success. It is definitely above my skill level. Below is the hierarchy for my form. The blue square represent the information that I would like to concatenate and the orange squa...

Tried that. It will not apply against information that has been cut and pasted. Only against information type directly in the field.Any other suggestions?

Re: Changing Font size and type face for all field?? chrisb29762052 - Adobe LiveCycle
No. I understand that you can set font in Lifecycle. The fact is that when you use Rich text in your form and you copy and paste information from another source (ie: word documents, etc), the font attributes come with it. The form that I am creating will rely on cutting and pasting information from other sources. I don't want to end up with different font size and type once the form is completed. The only way I can see this happening is by running a script against all text fields to ensure that i...

Re: How to hide a button based on a zero count of a unrelated subform? chrisb29762052 - Adobe LiveCycle
This work to make the button visible as soon as you create one instance of the subform but it doesn't hide it if the user decide later to remove all the subform after having created one or more. At that point I need the button to go "hidden" and it doesn't. I am only using a testing form at this time. I have forwarded it to your email if you don' mind looking at it. Thanks

How to hide a button based on a zero count of a unrelated subform? chrisb29762052 - Adobe LiveCycle
I am a beginner at this. Try many different ways with no success. I found the following info in an old discussion group. There was no info to indicate that it worked. It is not exactly what I need. I tried to adapt it with no success. " in the click event of the remove button should have something like thisif (this.parent.instanceManager.count > 1){ this.parent.instanceManager.removeInstance(this.parent.index);} else{ xfa.resolveNode("Subform1[0].cmdRemove").presence = "hidden"; this.parent.inst...

I am learning how to create forms in Livecycle. I am no programmer. I tried to write (javascript) code to have a button to take a unicode (such as camera (U+1F4F7)) as a caption. I am only getting error messages with all my attempts. Could someone provide me with a sample script. Any help would be much appreciated.
