Hi,I have an email button on a form in which I'd like a reminder note to pop up when they get ready to send the email. Right now the message will pop up after the email has been sent rather than before. Is there a way to correct that? Thanks!

Hi,I have a form in which I have two fields that are required to be filled out, but they need to be filled out by different people. One field is filled out and then the form is sent to a second person to complete the other field. Is there a way to make both field required but not prevent the first person from sending the email because the second required field hasn't been completed?Thank you!

I create a lot of forms that are put on a websfor people to open and complete. We are having increasing problems with people not being able to open the forms for varying reasons on browsers. Is there a way to put some programming in the form so that when it is opened it is automatically opened in Reader/Acrobat and if someone doesn't have the software they are prompted to go download it?Thanks!

I'm still somewhat novice myself with Java scripting. I'm not sure which event I should put this on for the button. It would seem like Click would be a logical choice, but that's not available. Also, I'm unclear on how the email address that can be changed is being picked up versus the set email addresses are there. I don't know what the difference is between your red text and your black text. What I'm looking to do is have johndoe1@test.com and janedoe2@test.com always get the email and also ha...

In the last several weeks, problems have developed with some of the forms I've created in Live Cycle. Both forms that I created a long time ago and ones more recently. These problems occur for some people and not for others. There are several that have occurred and I would appreciate any assistance in diagnosing and fixing the problems. 1. An error message appears that says "unauthorized script." The user repeatedly click OK, but it never stops appearing. They have to use CTRL + ALT + DEL to get...

Everything was set open from what I could see. I was trying to set it to open up either when a signature field was completed or else when a submit button is clicked and the form is sent to someone else. When I try to put it on the button, my copy of the form seems to have the fields unlocked, but the person receiving the form does not. That's why I thought I'd try it on the signature field.

I don't totally follow what you're saying because I don't know where exactly to put the scripts. A link to the form is below. What I'm trying to do is have the the Dept Use Only Box with all it's fields appear on the screen, but as protected or read only and then become active after the Supervisor has signed the form and submitted it to the business center. Right now I've done various things where I can get things to activate after the signature, but it doesn't stay enabled after the form has be...

I have a subform in my form that I would like to have as disabled or protected until the very end of the form. It has 2 signature fields and 2 submit buttons at the end. After the 2nd submit button is used I'd like the reciever of the form to have access to the disabled subform. How do I do that? I've tried setting it to "open" but it will do it on my screen after I submit, but not in the attachment. Thanks for the help.

I found my answer this morning. I used preSign and postSign with the script to make certain fields visible or hidden.

Hi,I have a form that requires 2 signatures on it. I've been looking at the lock/unlock field posts, but I haven't quite found what I'm looking for. Here's what I'm trying to do.The employee digitally signs his electronic timesheet and clicks the button to submit the form to his supervisor. The supervisor digitally signs the form, (fields can lock if I choose to program it that way, I'm still discussing that with people affiliated with the form) and the button for the supervisor to submit the fo...

It didn't seem to do anything and that is what I had tried earlier. I have a an add a row and a remove a row button. Is that going to be causing me problems? I've attached a sample of my form. I've already set the add and remove buttons to hide on printing, I'd just like the next column over from the remove button to expand to the margin on print.https://acrobat.com/#d=M1dT20nCzc6MssGBd7AajQ

I tried looking at the example and apply it for widening a box on printing. I used minW and w, but I didn't have any luck. I have a table in which I have I remove row button at the end of the row that is hidden for printing. I was hoping I could make the column next to the button just expand to cover the space during printing, but it won't respond. Is there any way that I can do that? Thanks!

I feel like I'm getting somewhere, but now I'm stuck again. I put in a little bit of the choices that I wanted and here's what happens. I go to the form and the whole list is there, which is fine. I make my first dropdown selection and all my choices disappear (also fine). I make my second drop down selection and nothing appears (not fine). I'm not sure quite what's going wrong. I've included a link to my sample file. I noticed that for your text fields you said Textifled each time. Does the "if...

This is making sense, but I have a couple of follow up questions...1. // First hide everythingTextifled1.presence = "hidden";Textifled2.presence = "hidden";Textifled3.presence = "hidden";Does that go on the exit event as well?2. Can I wrap all my fields that may possibly display in a subform and hide that at the start and then name the fields individually in the if/else statements? I know I need to id the subform in the script? Thanks!

I've been reading about linking two dropdown lists where you select one thing in the first dropbox and then it adjusts the options in the second dropdown box. I like those and may use those in the future. I have a somewhat related question. Can I have two drop down lists that both selections control what fields display below? For examples list 1 has A, B, and C, and List 2 has Red, Orange, and Yellow. I will pick different combinations of the two and have different things display. A and Red has f...

I made the switch, but that didn't seem to help. Now sometimes it works, other times it goes to the default e-mail, or it reverts back to a previously selected name which out actually switching the radio button selection.

That was somewhat helpful, but things aren't totally working yet. I've put a link to the file here. Where the problem comes in is when switch between being a VCR approved center or not at the top of the form. The Submit to Grant Specialist buttons don't always work. Sometimes it will go the default/backup e-mail address, sometimes to the specialist selected.Hopefully people don't need to switch between the two that often, but in the event that they do, I'd like to have this work correctly. Thank...

Hi,I have discovered a problem with a form I created several months ago. I have a list of names for people to choose from. The selection then controls a submit button later on in the form. The form is getting passed along via e-mail to several different people and by the time it reaches the person that needs to use the submit button to e-mail back to the person originally selected at the beginning of the form it doesn't always use the correct e-mail address. It will revert and to the default add...

The hiding the buttons worked well, however I don't like how the ends of my tables look when I print. I took the borders off, or so I thought, but they're still showing when I print, at least the out of the table border. Is there something else I can do to tell it to not show formatting when printed?

Hi,There are instances in which we would like to prefill data into a form and then send out to a number of people. I know there are some posts about that, but I have some additionals questions to go with that. We use PDFExplode to help us send out information at time, say a profile update for a webpage as it runs from our database. We would like to get it into a form that can have the current information and then space to edit as well, all in one place. We currently have Lotus Notes as our e-mai...

Hi,I had a request for a form in which the Add a Row button and Delete Row button are hidden when printed to make it look a little nicer. I was able to hide the buttons when printing, but the table that the delete is part of still looks odd and there is a larger space than I'd like to have between the tables once the add a row doesn't show. Is there are a way to make things look nicer? I've attached the demo of the form I'm working on a sample of what it looks like right now when I print.I did s...

I tried what you suggested, but I'm not having any luck with it. I must not be understanding what you're saying. I took the scripts off of the initialize event and tried to hide them on the object pallette. I didn't really know what to choose though because I was unable to make them reappear with my other scripting. Also, I would make them disappear off of my design view which isn't helpful if I need to edit them in some manner. So what do I need to select, as I've reserached them a bit none of ...
