Re: Restrict user read permissions for API 2.0 Brian_Kent_Wats - Adobe Analytics
That's a possibility. We'll need to consider how such a change would impact functionality in the UI such as sharing and schedule recipients, etc. Because Analysis Workspace is built on the 2.0 API set we generally want to keep behaviors in the API consistent with behaviors in the UI. i appreciate the feedback in this thread.

Re: Restrict user read permissions for API 2.0 Brian_Kent_Wats - Adobe Analytics
Note that non-admin users can see all users in the company, including First Name, Last name, and Email address, when they take actions in the UI such as sharing segments and Workspace projects, adding recipients to alerts and scheduled reports, etc.The three elements of admin status, title, and phone haven't been previously exposed in the UI so that is additional information that was added for API 2.0. We can consider making a change such that only admins can pull the lists of users via API but ...

Re: Adobe Analytics 2.0 API Brian_Kent_Wats - Adobe Analytics
The 1.4 Data Warehouse API will be deprecated only when equivalent functionality is supported in a newer API version. Adobe has not announced any timeline for Data Warehouse functionality to be available in a newer API version yet so the 1.4 Data Warehouse API continues to be fully supported. For information on Data Feeds I recommend this help document as a starting place: Analytics Data Feed

Re: Remove individuals from "Share Projects" / "Shared With" list for Workspaces Brian_Kent_Wats - Adobe Analytics
You need to remove the users from all Analytics Product Profiles inside of Adobe Admin Console. The list of users displayed in the Share Projects UI comes from Admin Console. Any users with an Analytics Product Profile (aka, a permission group configured for that login company) will show up in the list.

Re: Web API 2.0 request limits Brian_Kent_Wats - Adobe Analytics
The solution is just what the error message says: reduce the rate of requests. In rare cases Analytics has increased the throttle limit for some customers when they have submitted a request through their Account Manager or Customer Success Manager and described their use case and explained why they need to make API calls at an increased rate. Most of the time the requests are denied because when the customer explains the use case it uncovers a misunderstanding of how the API works or what they're...

Re: Adobe Analytics 2.0 API integrate with ReactJS webapp Brian_Kent_Wats - Adobe Analytics
You can definitely use the 2.0 APIs to build a ReactJS/JavaScript app. Workspace itself is built on the 2.0 APIs and uses React and JavaScript. The APIs themselves are documented here: GitHub - AdobeDocs/analytics-2.0-apis: Documentation for the Adobe Analytics 2.0 APIs There was also an introductory lab on them at Summit, which you can find here: Adobe Summit 2019 | L751 - Explore the New Adob... | Adobe Community But there is no specific tutorial or documentation regarding usage of the APIs in ...

Re: Clicks on page Brian_Kent_Wats - Adobe Analytics
Hi alanoudfahad, You mention "ClickMap" but ActivityMap is the latest version of the tool. Can you verify if you were using ClickMap or ActivityMap?Ultimately, Workspace and ActivityMap report on the same underlying data so it largely depends on what data you're sending to Analytics. For example, if you send in specific click or link-tracking hits to Analytics then Workspace and ActivityMap can report on them.

Re: Daily return visits report in Adobe workspace? Brian_Kent_Wats - Adobe Analytics
The Return Visits report in Reports and Analytics is not supported in Analysis Workspace. Although I don't speak for the official product roadmap, I believe it's unlikely to be supported in Workspace in the future. The Return Visits report in Reports & Analytics is based on a different reporting engine than Analysis Workspace so it's unlikely that you'll be able to simulate a daily return visits report in Workspace that exactly matches what you see in Reports and Analytics.

Re: Web API 2.0 request limits Brian_Kent_Wats - Adobe Analytics
For the Analytics 2.0 APIs, the throttle limit is set at 120 calls per minute, per user, regardless of report suite or company. When the throttle limit is crossed, the server returns an HTTP 429 status to the user the with message content: "too many requests". Note that the throttle applies at the API gateway layer. The throttle limits can't currently be raised. There is also a throttle applied by the underlying reporting engine per report suite which is independent of any reporting client (e.g. ...

Sending a Workspace project in PDF format on a scheduled basis is a common approach. You can also Share the project with other Adobe Analytics users in your company so they can access it directly in the Workspace UI.

Re: Adobe Analytics api Brian_Kent_Wats - Adobe Analytics
You don't need an Analysis Workspace project in order to query data using the Analytics API. The Analytics API allows you to query any data the API caller (either an authenticated user via oAuth or a service token via JWT) has permissions to view, regardless of whether that data is displayed in a Workspace project. If you want to query the same data that is displayed in a Workspace project, you can use the Workspace debugger to see how Workspace formulates the API requests. Using the Workspace de...

Re: Make shared metrics unvisible if not specified in product profile or Virtual report suite Brian_Kent_Wats - Adobe Analytics
Thanks for the suggestion Patrick. The short-term solution for your use case would be to unshare the CMs from all users and instead share them with only the subset of users that you want to see them.

Re: Add a project to a report suite Brian_Kent_Wats - Adobe Analytics
oodaddy2 Can you clarify your question a bit or provide a screenshot of what you mean? Are you thinking about a Virtual Report Suite? In other words, curating a Workspace project as part of a VRS? Are you thinking about having a Workspace project show up in the metrics/dimensions menu in Reports & Analytics?A report suite is essentially a bucket of data. A Workspace project is essentially a way of visualizing and reporting on the data in the report suite bucket. A single Workspace project can b...

Re: GET Shared Segments from Analytics API 2.0 Brian_Kent_Wats - Adobe Analytics
You can use the handy technique of "see how Workspace does it" to see how to format the segment GET request. As an example, I turned on Developer Tools in my browser, then created a new Workspace project, and I can see the call to the segment service go across the wire like so:Request URL: https://appservice5-10.omniture.com/analytics/1.0/segments/?locale=en_US&includeType=shared,templates,curatedItem&dataType=oberon&curatedRsid=geo1metrixxgeometrixx.outdoors&expansion=favorite,approved,tags,usa...

Re: How can I refresh OAuth 2.0 token before It expire Brian_Kent_Wats - Adobe Analytics
Refresh token flow is not supported by Adobe Analytics V2 APIs under Adobe IO.In the context of Adobe Analytics, Adobe IO's oAuth authentication should be used by applications that authenticate a human user for the duration of a single session. It is not suitable for use by applications that need "headless" server-to-server, service-token, or long-running authentications. In Q1 2019 (coming very soon), Analytics will support JWT authentication for situations that require server-to-server, service...

Re: Last Access Feature - Experience Cloud Brian_Kent_Wats - Adobe Analytics
Hi Keshav,The Last Access time will still be available in the Analytics Admin Console even after users begin logging in via Experience Cloud and legacy Analytics authentication is turned off. The Last Access time reflects the last time the user clicked into Analytics rather than the time they actually authenticated. This is because the authentication is done by Experience Cloud and users can move freely between Experience Cloud solutions without re-authenticating. Also available in the Analytics...

Re: Bulk edit and upload segments in Adobe Omniture Brian_Kent_Wats - Adobe Analytics
@Ursboller is correct in that the API is the best way to bulk-create segments although API V2 doesn't currently support segment creation but will soon. Unfortunately, the use case for creating either tends of thousands of segments or tens of thousands of identifiers within a segment almost always indicates a misuse or misconfiguration of segments in attempt to solve implementation problems.I'm not sure whether the original idea is talking about making tends of thousands of segments or making a s...

Re: Segment "save as" locally, not public Brian_Kent_Wats - Adobe Analytics
Hi @Ursboller, Can you clarify by what you mean by "local" and "public"? I may be misunderstanding something in your idea.Currently, any segment you create is owned by you and is only visible to you (well, it's also visible to and admins because admins can see everything) unless you explicitly share that segment with other users. So any time you do a "save as" you are creating a non-public segment by default. Thanks,BKW

Re: Transfer segments, calculated metrics dashboards etc Brian_Kent_Wats - Adobe Analytics
If your Analytics instance (aka Login Company) has not undergone user migration yet, the functionality is still in the same place it always was.If your Analytics instance is in the process of user migration, or has completed migration already, the Transfer Asset feature is still in the Analytics Admin console, not in the unified Adobe Admin Console. It can be accessed via the Admin menu in Analytics:Admin -> User Management (Legacy) - > "Edit Users" under the Users section. This will take you to...

Re: Code Gallery, API Explorer, other Developer Tools? Brian_Kent_Wats - Adobe Analytics
Hi Alexis,Service and technical accounts will not be supported in the October 2018 release. We will work to add support for those use cases in a future release. The initial lack of support for service and technical accounts is not strictly an Analytics limitation but is a limitation in various interoperability layers between Analytics, Adobe I/O, and Adobe Cloud Platform. Thanks,Brian

Re: Configuration of Bullet visualization in Workspace Brian_Kent_Wats - Adobe Analytics
Thanks for the feedback on configuration of colors. It's something we can consider for the roadmap but obviously I can't make any specific commitments about timelines.Note that an Adobe Analytics administrator can already define whether high or low is good vs. bad. This is done by changing the Metric Polarity setting of a report suite in the Analytics Admin Console.

Re: Upgrade to Delete API Brian_Kent_Wats - Adobe Analytics

That being said, the Adobe Cloud Platform User Management API does not currently support transfer of assets when deleting or removing a user from your Experience Clo...
