If adding fields to the Master Page, make sure that it is set to protected, and not just readOnly. This has the effect that the field will not be part of any tab set that you have

Thanks for the info, I know that from the objects pallet of the subform you can set the location of where you want the subform to appear.I want it to appear "Following Previous" on the screen, but "Top of Next Page" when printing.RegardsAndrew
