There is no default way. When you are migrating application, that is not upgrading es2.5 TO es4. You are doing it manually. The user migration happens as the part of DB migration, as user/ groups & their information resides in LC DB. Having said that, AD users can be synced to new environment, but as such there is no way to do the same for local users. It all depends on the number of local users you have. If the number is large enough and you want to import you can do it from API, but that is jus...

Hi , please also try with "userID" psf.setUserId("myLCUser"); List principalList = dirClient.findPrincipals(psf); Iterator pit = principalList.iterator(); User testUser = null; if (pit.hasNext()) { testUser = pit.next(); } dirClient.updateLocalUser(testUser, "oldPassword", "newPassword"); This works fine for me and I can change the password. I am able to do same using psf.setPrincipalOid(userOID); but in here, the value I used is "ID" of the user, not "userId". In userOID case, if you try debugg...

Re: LC ES4 install failing with Probable fatal error:No fonts found error

Hi Steve, I thought, the error happened during configuration manager stage, while deploying ear or installing components.however, even for LC installation, System fonts are mandatory for the installation. on Linux it will not be available by default, like we have in windows, system font at specified location. So system fonts are required to be setup. steps 2,3,4, of the above link of "system requirements-3.2.6.18" discuss setting up the mandatory packages and system fonts.

the user who is running the application server should have read write permissions on the location where the fonts are installed and should be able to create symbolic link in case on Linux directory. You must have defined the fonts location in the LC configuration manager. please check that directory. In addition to above, for the Linux system, additional steps for configuring fonts need to be performed. refer section 3.2.6.18 of http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/11.0/PrepareInstallCluster/WS...

Hi I hope the service is in running state. Check the "DesigntimeService" too. if it does not help, then also please check by configuring the service run as "Specify run as " as System on "repository provider service" and try again. Also search for the services in stopped state. default services should all be in running state.

Hi, Is this happening for a specific service, which you are looking into from adminui > Application and Services > Service Management ? Please share the log snippet of that time , when you try to use Service management. Additionally, if it is a specific service > please try once, stopping ans starting that service from Workbench > Components tab section. ( Share the server log snippet in case of failure)

You can use a watched folder endpoint, you can process multiple files simultaneously for PS to PDF operation. create PDF2 operation used to convert .ps file into PDF( see details: LiveCycle ES3 * Watched folder endpoint settings )
