This will be included with a release of Analysis Workspace in the fall. Great suggestion and (frankly) pretty awesome that our team has already gotten it added to the code. Just need to ship it now!

Good request, Vidika. We'll be adding custom date ranges in our next release, which will provide functionality very similar to (but improved upon) Reports & Analytics.
