Hi Scott, when saying that UGC is not reverse replicated anymore, I guess that it refers to the UGC strictly related to AEM Communities (forums, blogs, etc.) and not to the out of the box form components. This is my assumption though, documentation is not fully clear unfortunately. Do you think we can have an official answer from AEM engineering team? And, in case AEM does not support reverse replication out of the box, which is the recommended mechanism to make the form data generated on publish ...

Hi,is form data saved under /content/usergenerated reverse replicated to author out of the box?I have properly configured reverse replication agent on author and reverse replication outbox on publish, form data is saved under usergenerated folder, but nothing is created in the outbox folder on publish. Any idea why this is not working? Thanks!

Very useful resource. Can ask you guys if you get the reason for this one?For a multi-tenant project, keep shared functionality in mind. Don’t exploit the project repositoriesWhat does "don't exploit" mean here?Examples? Thanks!

Hi,I am watching this video about developing with dispatcher in mind: AEM Dispatcher At some point of the presentation one statement is: "Follow the AEM model, non-cachable content should be served dynamically from a restful service, layout should be delivered from cache". I actually did not get it. Why non-cachable content should be served dynamically from a restful service? Examples? What does layout mean in this case?Thank you!

Hi,I am struggling to make rich text editor work inside ACS Commons multifield.AEM version is 6.3 + SP1 + CFP1ACS Commons version is also the latest one: 3.14.6I have tried to reproduce this article, installing the package attached: Creating an AEM HTML Template Language 6.3 component that uses a Multifield The bug is the following: when I try to add a link in the rich text editor using the pathbrowser of the link plugin, I can't submit the dialog anymore.Do you know if, actually, AEM rich text ...

Sorry but I don’t get why that’s the correct answer. I did not marked any input field as required. The pathbrowser of the link plugin of rich text editor is required by default. Why should I write a custom validator?

What do you mean by separate validation? Maybe you mean custom validation?I do not have any custom validation though, everything was tested on a vanilla instance. The problem is that when I close the dialog of the pathbrowser of the hyperlink plugin by clicking cancel (X), the validation of the whole dialog should not consider the pathbroswer anymore (as I understand). But the validation of the dialog still calls the validation of the pathbrowser.

Hi,I have an issue when using the rich text input field (cq/gui/components/authoring/dialog/richtext) in a dialog. Notice that I am using the rich text input field as a field of the dialog itself and not as in-place editor. The bug happens when I am trying to add a hyperlink through the link plugin. The value of the hyperlink is required, but even if I press cancel (so I don't really add the link), the validation still occurs and I can't submit the whole dialog. I reproduced this bug on a clean A...

I found the way to solve the problem. I am using XSSAPI https://sling.apache.org/apidocs/sling9/org/apache/sling/xss/XSSAPI.html encodeForCSSString method which is used by AEM internally for encoding sensitive parts of the HTML page through 'context' option in HTL. I am encoding both ends of my comparison so I don’t actually need to decode. And if you are wondering how to unit test a Sling Model that has that kind of dependency, this is how you add the mocked class to your test context:context.r...

Hi,I need to unescape (and then escape again) a string result of using Sightly context "styleString":a string example is background-image: url(\2f content\2f dam\2fwebsites\2fglobal\2fimages-2\2f 2018\2f 05\2fKoala.jpg);I need to unescape the String in Java and then escape it again. StringEscapeUtils does not seem to work in this case. Do you know how can I escape/unescape strings result of Sightly's styleString encoding? Thanks!

I was able to fix to issue myself. I moved the unit test dependency on top of the pom xmls and unit tests started to work.

Hi,I am trying to write a very basic unit test for my Sling Model. The purpose of my model is very elementary: read some simple structure from repository and build a Map of key/values out of it. I am using JUnit and Sling Mock for unit testing. I am using Resource Resolver mock default implementation to build the test content in memory. My code is below: I only have one test method.Code:Unfortunately I am having the following exception:Could you please maybe help me to understand where is the mis...

However, when I modify the master copy, the changes are not pushed to the copy. Hi,do you know if it's possible for an Author to exclude a component from page publication? The use case is the following: an author is working on a page, but he has not yet finished the editing of a certain component, while the rest of the page is ready to be published. In this case, the author wants to mark the unfinished component so when the page is published, that component is not published. Thanks!

The tag picker also allows to create new tags on the fly. See the keywords input field in the page properties .. These are saved by default under /etc/tags/defaultwhat I would like to achieve is saving them under a specific folderdo you know if it’s possible?

I don't fully get your example. With second approach I would 1) modify the master with the red banner 2) rollout to the 4 branches. Then I would probably still need to3) delete the red banner from the master as it's not really common to all the sites4) and of course I need to modify head-office site with the blue banner. With the first approach, I would 1) add the red banner to the head-office site, 2) rollout to the other branches,3) then delete the red banner,4) insert the blue banner in the he...

Hello,I am trying to understand if AEM can host a "static" web site that includes content authored from AEM.The static web site is an Angular SPA application. The application is similar to an intranet: most pages do not have editorial content, the navigation is static (editors do not create/move pages shown in the navigation menu) and the widgets have lots of integration with legacy back end systems. However, one part of this application, a small subset of pages, involves editorial content and w...

Hi Feike, thanks for your response! Would this solution work for pages where I don't have the data-sly-includes in the code, i.e. pages with parsys where I don't know which and how many components are included? The need is to cycle on components included in the page, regardless if that happens by drag & drop or "static" inclusion with data-sly-resource.Thanks!

Hello,I'm trying to skip the component inclusion programmatically. The idea is to have some kind of business logic on server side that before the page composition, cycles on all components included in the page and can decide based on some condition whether or not include the components. I have been studying Sling Filters with COMPONENT scope but I couldn't find a way to actually skip the component inclusion. Thanks Stefano
