Hi rush_pawan - We are not overriding any blueprints. All those blueprints are independent and separate and created for block of content/pages.We dont have custom implementation for creating the blueprint, but it seems we have so many blueprints as that is our need, rollout performance is getting affected.

Moving the blueprints from /etc/blueprints to /apps/msm had no impact in the performance. I had deleted the /etc/blueprints folder after moving the blueprints.

We have implemented a custom rollout by using the OOTB RolloutManager's rollout functionality and passing the required attributes. We have basically used what we have for we.retail and implemented language masters and live copy implementation for about 10 different languages. In local env rollout works just fine and it is super fast but when we deployed the functionality to QA env, it takes a way too much time.Upon lot of investigation and indexing, we are able to narrow it down the issue is beca...

We are following we.retail example and we have the language copy containing the master (blueprint) for live copies (language branch).language-masters/en is the blueprint for live copy - en,language-masters/fr is the blueprint for live copy - fr, Our requirement is that if we have any image (static content which do not require translation) in language-masters/en, we can rollout to not only it's live copy (en) but also to all the locales (eg. fr, ja, es..) (assuming all the locales needs to have t...

If I increase the LimitReads then it works fine. this was my query from the log - SELECT * FROM [cq:Page] AS p WHERE p.[jcr:path] LIKE '/conf/%/settings/dam/cfm/models' ORDER BY [jcr:path] and below is my index - {"compatVersion": 2,"async": "async","jcr:primaryType": "oak:QueryIndexDefinition","type": "lucene","indexRules": {"jcr:primaryType": "nt:unstructured","cq:Page": {"jcr:primaryType": "nt:unstructured","propert...

Hello @SundeepKatepally - correct. The challenge comes when authors have to navigation to several levels down to a particular locale and then again navigate to the particular page to see the translation every time they submit the master copy for translation.

@Shashi_Mulugu - we have few people in the content team who are responsible for managing the contents for different locale. We have MSM with about 10 different languages. Our authors are having issues when any time they need to manage contents they have to navigate to each locale location (en, es, fr, ru etc) and update the content on the content fragment. Looking for suggestion if anyone has tried a different approach like having a single page where all the translated contents are available fro a particular content through different tabs or sections? Basically looking if flattening the structure is possible instead ...

Hello, We are using AEM 6.3.3.6. Parsys is unlocked. We are not applying style system to the parsys but the components inside the parsys. The component has the design dialog which works when the component is dragged into the parsys in the template under the same parsys. However, instead of that if we drag and drop the component in the unlocked parays on the page (not template) then the option style system option does not appear.

We are exploring an option, where we will have aunlocked parsys in the editable template which allows certain components to be draggable by the page author. Page created by this template has the parsys where the user has the ability to drag and drop the components but however they can not add/edit the style system. Looks like it is not possible but wanted to confirm. If we had added the component in the parsys in the editable template and configured the style system and unlocked it then the compo...

yes smacdonald2008, it works after manually breaking the inheritance of the parent component and then child components and then deleting the child components which sets the cq:isCancelledForChildren property, but why do we need to do this manual work? Shouldn't the canceling the inheritance from a parent should also automatically cancel the inheritance for the child nodes as well? Is this is a bug in the system or is there a reason for it?

Thank you Veena. My use case is not the exact same one but your solution also talks about Render conditions which I can use and customize.

Hello, I dont think it is even possible through permissions but still wanted to confirm. Can we allow users to edit the page so that they can edit the components on the page, but we do not want user to edit the page properties. I tried updating the jcr:modified, jcr:modifiedProeprties, rep:addProperties, rep:alterProperties and rep:removeProperties but I can could not achieve this requirement. the option to hide/disable fields in page properties is not option as we want some of the super authors...

phew:).I checked the default standard rollout to see how it was re-arranging the items. I copied the orderChildren from default (/etc/msm/rolloutconfigs/default/jcr:content/orderChildren) to my responsive image rollout (/etc/msm/rolloutconfigs/responsiveimagerollout/jcr:content/orderChildren) and it has fixed the issue .

Hello, Perhaps someone can provide some leads to this issue. We have some images on a page (en_us) which were rollout to other locale pages (eg es_es).Now when we change the order of the images on the en_us page like image #2 is on the first position and image #1 is on the second position and when we do the custom responsive image rollout (not the standard rollout), the order of the images do not change in the locale pages (es_es).I see that when the OOTB when the doExecute method is being calle...

Hello Kunal, Thank you very much.I see that jcr:lastModified is saved as String type in Prod whereas in Dev it is a Date. It seems like someone is programmatically creating assets with the wrong type in prod. We will investigate further.

Make sure that the jar file which you are planning to include under /apps/install folder in your codebase is the OSGi compatible Jar file.

Thanks. Yes, we have already provided the estimates for custom API using AssetManager API, but because the estimates were high we were exploring the option for customizing the OOTB DAM HTTP API call so that caller will have minimal work at their end.I guess it is not possible with OOTB HTTP API but if you think otherwise then please let me know.

Yes, we could use Asset Manager API and have used it in our project. However that would require us to the development work which we are trying to avoid. The caller application also would require to make the code changes at their side unless we develop the API and generate the response similar to HTTP API (which means more work for us) so that they have to do minimal work. The whole idea for using Asset HTTP API was so that we don't have to do extra coding and can simply rely on OOTB functionality...

One of our application user is calling the OOTB Asset HTTP API to get assets but we are noticing that it does not pull all the properties of an asset. Like if we want to see cq:lastReplicationAction for an asset under the jcr:content content node, but it is not included in the response. It includes only self and content nodes with the asset url and with only 3-4 meta data properties like dc:modified, dc:title and dc:description. Whereas asset has lot more metadata and those are not included. I a...
