Would it be possible for someone to test following assumption? I'm afraid the tutorials, explaining how to create a custom xtype, require an update. I followed the 2 tutorials as mentioned below. They used to work with AEM 5.6 but don't work anymore with AEM 6.0 (but don't mention the support of AEM 6.0)http://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/creating-aem-multifield-components.htmlhttp://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/creating-custom-xtype.html The document http://docs.adobe.co...

Hi, we started from the tutorial http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/5-6/administering/configuring_rich_text_editor.html#Styles (Tables and Table Cells) but we are stuck because of some limitations when using the cssName. Below a description of what we are trying to establish and what we learned so far: we configured a number of styles and these styles do show up properly in the drop down list when using the text component. Please find attached an image, depicting how to configure the cssName. when we...

Please find sample JCR-SQL2 query embedded in Java below. It's obvious LastModified should be configurable. String sqlStatement = "SELECT * FROM [nt:base] AS s " + " WHERE ISDESCENDANTNODE([/content/geometrixx/en/products]) " + " and [cq:lastModified] >= '2014-04-01T00:00' " + " and [cq:template] = '/apps/geometrixx/templates/contentpage'"; javax.jcr.query.Query query = queryManager.createQuery(sqlStatement, "JCR-SQL2");

Creating a (rather basic) dropdown list as a customized xtype is resulting in strange behavior. Please find attached all the required screenshots and below the encountered behavior: an Xtype withe the name ejstcustom and to be used in a dialog is created and registered. Snippet of JS code has been attached. every time the page is accessed for the first time, the dropdown list is too small when the page is accessed a second or consecutive time, the dropdown list is wide enough we experimented wit...

I'm trying to implement an EventListener to propagate some JCR changes (property changed, node added ...).This topic has been discussed in a number of posts but different implementations are available and I'm inclined to describe the nitty gritty details on the required annotation as a very well kept secret.SlingRepository is annotated without specific properties in following document:http://experiencedelivers.adobe.com/cemblog/en/experiencedelivers/2012/04/event_handling_incq.htmland Component ...

One additional update on this topic and maybe my analysis was not entirely correct; As explained in other documents, AEM uses the property "categories" as the identifier/identifiers to publish the clientlib. This identifier should correspond with the value as used by the tag in the JSP page. Make sure you don't have multiple versions of a clientlib folder with the same identifier. This scenario might occur when you copy/paste by example a complete component or project (in the context of a backu...

Experienced the same rather frustrating behavior today. We are using Adobe CQ 5.6.0.20130125. I invalidated the cache (localhost:4502/libs/granite/ui/content/dumplibs.rebuild.html) and restarted AEM and Clientlib and underneath JavaScript (included in the generated clientlib.js) turned out to be correct this time .... Still, rather frustrating and I'm inclined to be a tad concerned on stability.

As quite well known, MCM (Market Campaign Management being part of AEM) allows to configure and manage emails. An important problem and potential fix has been discussed already in this thread. Apart from the (rather technical) related issue, we have a functional related question. Functionality we would like to implement covers: i18n of email contentemail related reporting (read emails vs bounced emails and this by country, language, segment ...) configuration of email batches configuration of at...

Cool. AFAIK it's now April 2014 and TMHO the documentation is still outdated. Any chance the documentation for AEM v6 (expected soon) will point to the correct classes? many thanks, Wim

Many thanks for the update and the reviewed document. I'm quite happy to confirm the new instructions and the new DAM handler work like a charm. I followed procedures in detail and reused the available POM and source code and the customized media handler kicks in as expected (and as a consequence my work during this weekend seems to pay off). Just a few minor or cosmetic-like improvements:artificact cq-dam-api has been described twice in the poc (line 65 and 168) resulting in a warning during va...

I was able to resolve the AEM 6.0 related issue and will look into the other issues today and Monday.Someone @ Adobe felt it's necessary to modify (enhance) the /libs/mcm/components/commands/newsletter/flighttest.POST.jsp component but I'm inclined to believe this requires a little more testing. This component produces a couple of errors and I finally decided to revert to the old AEM 5.6 version of the JSP and out of a sudden .... MCM email works in AEM 6.0. Please find attached a small sequence...

Please find some MCM related questions below: in AEM 5.6 you cannot retrieve / edit newsletters from the MCM admin. The OOTB geometrix newsletters exists and can be accessed from the /content node (through crx) but as you can see (image attached), you cannot edit the newsletter from the MCM admin menu. Another bizarre and rather frustrating feature is the error you get when you create your own newsletter. An e-mail is being generated and sent (second image attached) but it's obvious the content ...

Scott, many thanks for fast reply and for confirmation of your test results. I ran another test today and I'm quite happy to confirm my custom xtype is rendered correctly in edit mode (classic UI). I'm still facing JS errors in my CustomWidget JS in design and preview mode (classic UI once again) but I'm inclined to believe this error is rather related to improper loading of all the (responsive related) JS we are trying to manage (although it occurs in the CustomWidget JS). Anyhow, I'm glad I as...

I tested this morning with the Classic UI and the Granite UI but no success. Pleas find attached a snippet of the dialog.xml. AFAIK everything is correct (and part of the CustomWidget.js is being executed) but a straightforward test from someone @ Adobe would clarify the status quite a bit.

I was aware of the versioning issue but, by now, I'm inclined to believe it's fair to say there is no (detailed and complete and AEM 6 compliant) documentation available with regards to custom xtypes and as a side remark (since we are not impacted), I'm a tad concerned on the challenge of migration since it seems to me the cusomized AEM 5 xtypes are not going to work anymore with AEM 6. Still hoping I'm mistaken but up to other people to confirm.

This is a second question related to our bespoke ecommerce implementation. We applied this tutorial but we have a question on the currency. When we change the currency in our class (extending the AbstractJcrCommerceSession class) the amounts are shown correctly on the first page but not on the second page (please see attached screenshot). Please see a snippet of our code below. AFAIK, there are no getters and setters for locale (and tax-rate) but overriding the property after having invoked the ...

Point taken and point is entirely valid. I tested on AEM 5.6 and I'm quite happy to confirm the tutorial is entirely correct and allowed me to change/enhance the commerce implementation. I noticed the AbsttractJcrCommerceSession's constructor retrieves the language (and afterwards the related country) starting from the serviceContext and maybe, assuming it's possible the language hasn't been set for a particular user, this explains why other people hit a Null Pointer Exception (as explained in t...

I'm close to giving up on this. Please note a very similar thread exists : http://help-forums.adobe.com/content/adobeforums/en/experience-manager-forum/adobe-experience-manager.topic.html/forum__ij2c-hi_there_i_have.html and this thread confirms the problem of the NPE as well. I made sure my serviceContext is set and I included debugging on all 4 parameters (passed as an argument when invoking the AbstractJcrCommerceSession constructor). Please see the attached snippet of the error log. Problem ...

Hi, we applied the instructions as found in tutorial http://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/creating-custom-cq-commerce-providers.html. The idea is to extend or enhance the default OOTB Adobe commerce provider. According to the javadoc this is a quote "a simple cart pricing architecture with single currency" unquote and FYI .... the hard-coded VAT rate of 6% is not very applicable for European customers .... By now, I'm getting rather used to the open-for-improvement-coding-techniques (...
