Re: Capture process XML variable in XSLT template? lsmurph - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Were you able to solve this problem? Is it possible to pass process variables to an xslt transform activity in AEM Workbench? If I hard code inDepartment I get results but the below code returns nothing. '{$/process_data/@inDepartment$}'

Re: Changing fill color of drop down list AEM 6.2 HTML5 form lsmurph - Adobe Experience Manager
Actually, the problem turned out to be in Designer. I was checking my changes in Preview HTML and the fill color was only applying to the borders. It is still displaying incorrectly even though the deployed form is working properly in each of the 3 browsers I tested.

The first time I opened the form this morning, the behavior was correct. I have tested in IE11, Chrome and Firefox. It must have been the caching. Thank you so much for your quick response!

Changing fill color of drop down list AEM 6.2 HTML5 form lsmurph - Adobe Experience Manager
None of the code I've found to change the fill color of a field seems to work for a drop down list. Here are some of the things I've tried: this.border.fill.presence="visible";this.fillColor = "255,255,148"; OR this.fillColor.value = "255,255,148";this.border.fill.presence="visible";Either of these change the border only, not the fill:this.ui.oneOfChild.border.fill.color.value="255,255,148"; //border changes to yellowthis.ui.resolveNode("#choiceList").border.fill.color.value ="255,255,148";Has a...

Is it possible to use the save as draft feature if you're not using an adaptive form? lsmurph - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
I am converting an ES4 HTML5 form to AEM 6.1 for the purpose of adding attachments. I've read in the documentation that you can save as draft by adding a line to the custom profile but it's not working. Does this feature only work in adaptive forms?

Re: UI settings in preferences grayed out lsmurph - Adobe LiveCycle
Thanks to our QA group, we found a way to access UI settings. The only tab enabled upon opening Preferences is Out of Office. By selecting the "+" button on Out of Office Schedule, the Queues and UI Settings tabs become enabled.

Re: Assign Task Email Alerts Not Working lsmurph - Adobe LiveCycle
To send emails I use the sendWithDocument activity.I do that right before assigning the task in the same process. Did you restart your app server after you setup your email settings? Did you check the enable task assignment or enable group - task assignment on the configure task assignment in adminUI - Services - Process Management - Server Settings - Task Notification Settings?

Re: Assign Task Email Alerts Not Working lsmurph - Adobe LiveCycle
I explored using these and found that they had unexpected and unwanted results. In order to set them in Assign Tasks you need to select All rather than the default Basic at the top right of the Process Properties tab. That will add the Custom Email Template at the bottom of the list of properties to configure. I believe the default is "Do Not Send Email." Now that I take a second look, I think we tried using "Use Server Default." I'm thinking using "Customize" might have been what we needed to u...

render html5 lsmurph - Adobe LiveCycle
I am converting a .pdf form into HTML5 and one of the main challenges is not being able to save the form. I am saving the data to the database now but I need to merge the data with the HTML5 form. In workbench, I don't see a process to render as HTML5, only HTML4. I am currently using the mobile forms rendition service using a custom profile. Can I pass the data as a parameter to this URL or does anyone have a better way to merge form data back to an HTML5 form?

Re: Text box jumping a full page lsmurph - Adobe LiveCycle
Hello,I came back this morning to a QA issue with almost the same problem. I had four text boxes and an extra page was being inserted in the middle and at the end of a couple of the boxes. It didn't always happen and the same text was being copied and pasted into each box. I was able to solve it by putting these four text boxes into a subform and making it flowed.

Re: Text box jumping a full page lsmurph - Adobe LiveCycle
I have a couple of ideas for you to try. I have been working with LiveCycle for almost a year now and I have learned that this forum is not well moderated. If you figure this out, please be sure to share with others how you solved your problem. What are the settings of text field 3? Is the “Allow Page Breaks within Content” checked? What is the setting of “Keep with Next?”Another thing to look at is the subform Pagination property page. There is an option “Place” where you could be setting it to ...

Re: xfa.event.newText is undefined in an HTML rendered form in Livecycle ES4 lsmurph - Adobe LiveCycle
Actually, I learned through trial and error that the change event does in fact fire on a text box and xfa.event.newText also works in HTML5 as long as "Allow Multiple Lines" is not checked in the text field object properties. I do have to allow multiple lines so I am still looking for an acceptable solution to this problem.

xfa.event.newText is undefined in an HTML rendered form in Livecycle ES4 lsmurph - Adobe LiveCycle
When LiveCycle ES4 renders a form in pdf, "xfa.event.newText" works fine. It does not work for an HTML rendered form. Is there a different javascript model/properties for a rendered HTML form ? If there a complete list somewhere of the differences in javascript for a rendered pdf form versus a rendered HTML form? This question was asked in July, 2013 but never answered. I am trying to get a character count while user is entering text in a text field. I have a FormCalc function but cannot get it t...

Re: Using PDFUtilityService operation Redact PDF lsmurph - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi Wasil,I should have stated where I have already looked. Those documents didn't explain to me how I should use the various objects such as RedactionOptionSpec. I know the fields I will need to redact but I don't know how to use this activity to achieve this result. An example from Adobe would be great.Thank you,Laurie

If I can save someone the time I spent struggling with this problem, I will be happy. My scripting was being called on a change event of a drop down list. I added the script to the initialize event of the drop down as well and now it works perfectly. I was trying to solve this problem in the orchestration but the solution was in Designer.
