We finally got the planned dates to "stick" so now the calendar is usable (for me!) and not dependent on when people mark their tasks done. However, not being able to export or print the calendar is still a problem so I can't use it as my single point of truth. We need to be able to print in order t...
I don't know of another software company that listens to their customers like Workfront and for that I am very appreciative. Thanks for the explanation.
Many of my users would like to be able to have Decisions and Replies to my Comments as their default email alerts in a proof but they are forced to choose one or the other. We choose Decisions and then all comments have to be @ tagged again and again and people invariably forget to @ update someone,...
I would like a report that shows the SOCD of every person who was sent a proof, with the ability to list multiple proofs from multiple tasks or projects in the report.
This would be really great, but also there's A LOT of work that needs to be done on the calendars so that they are useful and accurate (ie be able to have a calendar that is based on Planned Dates and doesn't shift to Project Dates)
Related but not the same thing would be the ability to link back to the task from the Proof, especially after you get a Proof Approval email, link to the proof, and have no way to easily figure out which project/task the proof is related to.
When a person is tagged in a comment in a proof they receive a notification, but when they click through, they have to figure out how to find the comment by some magical combination of looking for the comment number or searching for a word or person and then scrolling to figure out where it is in or...
In fact the entire idea of "ready to start" is weak -- thinking of the terribly confusing and unhelpful (but "by design") notification that goes out to all dependent tasks.
It would actually be good if you could use any date field and stick to it. Right now you can't even used Planned dates as they change to Actual dates once the project starts moving, so if someone doesn't click their "done" button correctly, the calendar becomes useless.
