For a larger instance of Workfront, it would be beneficial to allow
certain groups to opt in for capturing time at the project level (less
mature groups that are still getting used to using a project management
system). This way more mature groups can continue task level time
tracking. With current Workfront functionality, project level time
tracking is a global setting. The more mature groups push back on
turning this setting on, as it would potentially cause data integrity
issues with tracking...
This item would be super helpful. Limiting editing sections of a custom
form based on groups/teams/job roles. This would be helpful as we
sometimes have groups like Finance that need to fill in sections of a
custom form, that we don't want the PM to be able to update only view.
But, we end up having to give the Finance group Admin access to
Workfront and they have total access to the system, which isn't correct
either. This was a use case at a few of the customers I support.
I've had clients that would have liked to reference a unique reference
number for Portfolios and Programs. However, Portfolios and Programs do
not get a reference number like a Project or Issue gets upon creation.
Right now in Fusion, you have to input into the flows how specific
errors or issues in the flow will be handled. There is no catch all
option for if any error occurs in the flow, send out a notification or
log an issue in Workfront. It would be nice to have more flexible error
handling, as we may not code for every possible error that may occur in
When using collections in reporting, the data in the collections cannot
be sorted. If pulling data such as upcoming time off, the dates cannot
be sorted in chronological order. This can be very confusing. See
It would be great if the cluster a particular Workfront instance is on
was listed in the Setup area of the Workfront instance. This way,
reviewing outage information on the Trust site would be easier to
identify if the outages affected my Workfront instance.
