Currently, timesheet permissions is in a bit of an "all-or-nothing"
state, where managers/directors/SVPs/etc can only see the timesheets of
their direct reports, or as we've done, if you allow admin access to
timesheets and hours, that level of management can see ALL timesheets
for the whole company. We would like the ability to restrict this by
group/dept as exposing the entire company's timesheets to management can
still be quite sensitive. We are unclear if this exposure happened prior
Currently an error is received if a Group Admin attempts to send a
report with the rights of another user, which is the expected behavior.
We have a use case where it would be helpful for Group Admins to send
reports to a user under their management with the rights of the
The new timesheet UI has lots of wasted white space, and for people that
work on lots of projects, the amount of scrolling they have to do now is
ridiculous. We only track time at the project level, not the task level,
and it would be nice to only have 1 line per project to enter time on.
With the grouping applied, it adds unnecessary noise to the timesheet
and has the appearance of two duplicate lines per project.
It would be helpful to have a secondary chart come up when you drill
into a section of a pie chart, so you can see further breakdown or
categorization of data. For example. if you were looking at a pie chart
showing $$ spent per department, if you clicked on a singular
department, another pie chart could show where those specific department
dollars went by project.
The blue approval bar in the mobile app is not intuitive. Its same color
look and feel as the tool tips that popup. Can this design be changed to
make the approval task look different than the tool tips and similar to
the approval button on the approval tab (its red). And with the Approve
and Reject language on the button?
We do not want our users to have administrative access to timesheets and
hours, as that would expose the timesheets of everyone in our instance
to effectively all our users. And it would be incredibly helpful for
people, Plan and Worker licenses alike, to be able to log hours directly
on the Hours tab of the project. Our projects don't always have tasks
created for them to log time against. And we are only requiring people
to log time at the project level.
