Currently there is a lot you can do with truncating and linking to the original with textmode, but it should be a lot easier, I agree.

That is correct. One click to open the task and two clicks to open the project. With only 2 clicks, you can also open the parent task, the program or portfolio.

If you're referring to the Home Area (the original Home Area… the good one) you can already do this by clicking on one of the bread crumbs at the top of the page.

This is one of the reasons we don't use planner.
