Re: We are super excited to share this new video with ..
- Workfront 01-11-2021
Hey Jim, We are using a Workfront Project to Model the Epic in these scenarios. I changed the Terminology for my Workfront user in their Layout Template from Project to Epic for this video. I have also worked with customers who use the Program Object to model Epics in Workfront. This is native functionality to update the display names for the various Workfront Objects.

Re: Using Epics IN WF - any workarounds?
- Workfront 11-10-2021
Hey Jim, brOne possibility would be to model this would be to use the WF Project as an Epic, WF Parent Task as Story, and WF Sub Task as task in your example. This would be able to show a complete roll up of the completion percentage / other data. There is not currently a way to map the parent task of one project to update the progress on another project without using WF Fusion. Another possible solution could be to use a Program to organize the Epics (WF Projects)- That way you could see the ov...

Re: Backlog workarounds?
- Workfront 13-09-2021
Hi Becky, For the Portfolio grouping - You can create a group using text mode to group by Portfolio in the team backlog: Create a new grouping and then select text mode and paste the below text in to the text mode window and save, then name the group whatever you want "Portfolio Name" for example. textmode=truegroup.0.linkedname=portfoliogroup.0.namekey=view.relatedcolumngroup.0.valuefield=project:portfolio:namegroup.0.namekeyargkey.0=projectgroup.0.namekeyargkey.1=portfoliogroup.0.namekeyargkey...

Re: Q2: How does a story get added to a sprint? Do..
- Workfront 24-06-2021
Yes, This is correct. Work can be brought into the Agile team's backlog in a few ways including tasks assignments from project, requests routed to the team, and stories submitted directly to the backlog by team members / leaders. Once a work item is in the backlog the team can collaborate on sizing the work and breaking it down into subtasks if needed. The team can then prioritize the work and prepare for the next iteration. When setting up the Iteration, the Team / Pod can select the work items...

- Workfront 24-06-2021
Yes these are both correct! However, I want to add that you can also use your teams Agile ceremonies to submit stories into the teams backlog as well. For instance - Getting the team together using the Workfront to help create a virtual (or in person) standup and help increase collaboration and visibility. We are always thinking of new ways to use Workfront to support Agile ceremonies - Anyone currently running ceremonies using Workfront?

Re: Using Request Queue for Agile teams with Projects
- Workfront 15-06-2021
Hello @Kellie Gardner‚ ! When you select the "Keep the original request and tie its resolution to the project" option this will keep the original request until the resolving project is marked complete. You will have to remove this manually from the issue (in the edit section) by removing the resolving object or delete the issue itself. Additionally you can unselect the "Keep original request...." option to achieve the same effect. Please let me know if this makes sense or you need any additional...

Re: How to view a current projects report list as a Kanban board
- Workfront 02-06-2021
Hey @Victoria Ollerton‚! This is a great questions - but currently you cannot build a Kanban view using the project object on the board itself. I have used reporting groups (on status like the Kanban board) to get similar information. I also will include the status field in the columns so I can quickly move project between groups. However, we are currently building new Kanban functionality like this and it is on our roadmap!

Re: WSJF Prioritization

Thank you for your reply! This is great. I think we are all feeling that pain right now - I will do some research and see if I can come up with some work arounds.

Question for Everyone - What are your Agile teams measuring and/or reporting on?
- Workfront 24-05-2021
What are you finding to be the most difficult thing to measure? We know that adjusting from typical project management measurements to Agile measurements can be hard for the rest of the organization. What out-of-the box reports are you using? And, even better, has anyone created a report or chart for their Agile teams that has been particularly helpful?! We'd love to know.

Re: WSJF Prioritization
- Workfront 24-05-2021
Hi Ellen, This is a great question! @Melissa Pickering‚ has some great ideas! I love to hear a bit more on how you are implementing WSJF. Are you having the requestor fill out a form containing custom calculated fields? Or this happening after the request is submitted and the team is scoping requests as they come in?
