Second publishing agent is a copy of the first/default one, just that transport uri is changed to point to second publish instance.

That is not correct answer.  We are looking for hybrid approach that is combining https://github.com/adobe/react-webcomponent and SSR with adobe IO. Link that you provided is using SPA editor and SSR adobe io which requires "full" SPA approach.
