AEM instance corrupted on startup
Avatar

Hello everyone, I am using AEM 6.5. I have a really weird problem on startup of the instance. Every time, when I shut off my instance and start it again, my AEM instance wouldn't work properly. The image on the splash screen as well as the icons in the touch UI wouldn't load. I had to delete the crx-quickstart to reinstall the instance. Then it will be fine. But next time, when I shut off the instance and start it again, same problem happens. I can't really delete the crx-quickstart every time s...

Hello everyone, I have a master component which contains a list of subcomponents. All of the them are custom components. I now working on a task to disable some of the subcomponents. I don't want to just delete them but rather to hide them from the admin. I know I can do so from the content policy configuration through the design dialog. But I want to do this through the code. I was wondering if anyone can point me to the right direction, such as the specific the file path and what I need to mod...

Hi @Anudeep_Garnepudi, Thank you for the response. I tried. I did see a new license.properties created. However I run into a 500 error. Error occurred while obtaining InputStream for blobId. Do you know how to fix it. Thanks again.

Hello all, I am trying to install an instance of AEM to my local mac book. I have the license.properties file properly placed in my folder. Everything is in its right place. However, after the installation, I was directed to a window to enter my license key. I am using a company-wide installation package/file. I installed the same instance on another computer which was fine. Everyone in my company is using the same installation file and it seems to be fine to everyone. I am not sure why this wou...

That make sense now. The problem is the embed modal doesn't show up in the parent component. I don't know how to configure it.

Yes, I added and configured the modal component in the main language page. I didn't configure the embed modal which is inside another component and there is no dialog for the embed modal. When I view the page source. The main modal (configured one) has the content in it, but the embed modal doesn't have content in it which is only the template.

Passing data between components (embed)

I need an error modal that works across the entire site. It will be triggered on different pages depending on different scenarios. I wrote a component solely for the modal. Then I embedded the modal in another component. Here is my embed code: I then dropped this modal onto the main language page. I configured there. It worked fine when I need to trigger the modal in the main page. However, when I need to trigger the model that has the custom class "myPage-modal", the modal is triggered, but th...

Hello everyone, I need to create two image uploads in my hero image component. Both need to be drag and drop images. 1. Background image for the hero image2. A logo image on top of the background image. (Which can be multiple) I used sling:resourceType= "granite/ui/components/foundation/form/fileupload" for the hero background image and sling:resourceType="cq/gui/components/authoring/dialog/fileupload" for the logo image. They both worked in the dialog ( I can drag and drop the images there). Ho...
