aem-publish-p4503.jar is starting on port 4502? - Adobe Experience Manager 03-12-2020
I followed these steps: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-learn/foundation/development/set-up-a-local-aem-development-environment.html#stepsOn windows and it works. Then I setup two ubunutu boxes with oracle java 11, one runing the author, and one runing the publisher. Author starts correctly on port 4502, but publisher starts incorrectly on port 4502 intstead of 4503.The jar is called: /home/aem/publish/aem-publish-p4503.jarI unpacked it like this:$ java -jar *.jar -unpa...

does Adobe have a chat client (for AEM + adobe campaign integration) - Adobe Experience Manager 01-12-2020
Our org uses adobe campaign. It is thinking of using AEM for a new project. We could just implement zendesk or similar in the AEM site, but then there is no chat history in the adobe campaign side. This page:https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/livefyre/implementation/app-integrations/c-app-integratios-chat.html?lang=en#app-integrations Claims to integrate chat into AEM, but we cant see what the chat solution is or how it works. It seems to be embedding "livefyre". Googling this, its not a cha...

Re: get "ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.sling.launchp... - Adobe Experience Manager 01-12-2020
Thanks for the reply. The technical spec says min ram is 2GB, so I went with 4GB (for author only). Its only a dev box, so will only have me using it.

Re: get "ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.sling.launchp... - Adobe Experience Manager 01-12-2020
Well, after spending hours trying to figure out why the documented install doesnt work, I found by trial and error a workaround. running the jar directly always fails. However, if you first unpack then run, it at least starts. java -jar aem-author-4502.jar -unpackcd crx-quickstart/bin./start Interestingly, the unpacked version is different from the version you get when you just run the jar directly as per instructions. If you unpack, it actually sets the execute bit on the start script.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I know it says only oracle java is supported, but my question was if it also works (not supported) on openjdk?

get "ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.sling.launchpad.app.Main" when trying to run aem-author-p4502.jar on ubuntu. - Adobe Experience Manager 01-12-2020
I got a quickstart.jar and license key for development from Adobe.i renamed it to aem-author-4502.jar and if I double click on it on my windows laptop, it works. My laptop is not strong enough to run AEM as well as my dev tools, so I am trying to run it instead on my dev linux box.Its ubuntu 20.04 LTS.I installed the oracle version of java 11:aem@author1:~/author$ java -versionjava version "11.0.9" 2020-10-20 LTSJava(TM) SE Runtime Environment 18.9 (build 11.0.9+7-LTS)Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Serv...

Re: Is there any way to get WKND running locally without... - Adobe Experience Manager 30-11-2020
Yes, I already tried to setup the replication by hand, as it doesnt come out of the box as the docs say it should. I had to guess the parameters should be, but when I hit "test connection" it says success. Worryingly, it says success whether or not I have the publisher running. I set the replication target to http://localhost:4503/bin/receive?slinkg:authRequestLogin=1 and user to be admin/admin. I had no idea what "Agent User Id" was, so left it blank. The replication has enabled set to true. Un...

Thanks for the reply. Is the quickstart jar for non cloud the same as the quickstart jar for cloud? I.e. if I have both the non cloud and the cloud downloads, it doesnt matter which I use?
