that talks about creating a custom OSGI config. I am looking for something via permission in /useradmin. Is there any path that can be blocked for a group of users?

OnceIi have done this, I published my image and then waited till the on-time was reached. How do I check it in my publish instance. Everytime I put the path of the image (localhost:4503/content.../image.jpg), the page doesnt show anything but an image gets downloaded. Can you please tell me how to test on/off time for DAM?@Manjunath_K

i uploaded a .jpg image in a folder in asset at 12:00. then i added the expire timing for that image in the properties at 14:00. The prior notification time was set to 3600 so i got notified at 13:00. The time based schedular was set to every 30 min, i got 1 notification after 30 min of expiration but after that, i didnt receive any further notification.I have been tracking the log for the osgi config Adobe CQ DAM Expiry Notification. All i got was this:----GET /assets.html/content/dam/us/en/arc...

Consider this:I have added an Asset at 12, with expiry time for 2 pm today. Then when should i get the pre-expiry notification and post expiry notification? My expiry notification config values are:time based scheduler with cron expression 0 */30 * ? * *prior notification is set to 360.This thing is really confusing!

When we upload an Asset, the OOTB DAM Update Asset workflow gets triggered automatically. But, i need to trigger my custom workflow instead of the OOTB workflow. Which paths/js files do i have to update to get the required results? Thanks!

Hi All, in DAM Update Asset workflow, there's a step Process thumbnail. In that if i manually add renditions, those gets generated. Then why do we need to make use of image magick and ghost script? I want to understand the usage, any heads up will be helpful!

Found the solution! This could be fixed by adding the custom group to the OOTB Workflow-users group.

I am using AEM 6.5, and I have the setup of author and publish as local instances. I have a custom group which is inheriting permissions from OOTB Content-Author group. Additionally i have added Read/C/M/D/Replicate permission to /content/experience-fragments (and all the child nodes). My user is a part of this custom-group and when the user is trying to publish an experience-fragment, it works fine. But, when the user tries to do Publish-Later, it fails with the below message: I am getting this...

I have create a custom-admin group and that is inheriting all the properties from the OOTB Administrator group. But i dont want my group to have replicate permission, so im trying to remove them from my custom-group (after rinheriting from the OOTB group). but everytime i remove from/root, /apps, /content etc, and save and refresh, all the permissions are coming back again. what should i do?

The strange part is, if i give permission to /content/experience-fragment, it propagates to all the child folders and even the XF only when i have provided delete permission. But if i remove the delete permission, the modify permission from XF goes away and it is only present till the folder level under /content/experience-fragment/folders

I am using the We.Retail templates to create my XF. And, the rep:policy exists under /content/experience-fragment with the same permissions that we can see under useradmin. rep:policy nodes doesn exist under any sub folder under the path /content/experience-fragment. And if i create a new XF, then the permission from parent is not getting propagated to the the XF.

just to be clear, you mean, we have to add the asset to the XF and then export the XF. And in target we should be XF in order to use the asset?

yes, u got me right! the permission are coming till folder, but not till the experience fragment. i have to provide the permission to the experience separately later. so, next time if i create another experience fragment then again i have to provide the permission to those. is there any reason behind such a behaviour?

Hi,I provided allow permission to create to /content/experience-fragment and save it. On expanding the path i noticed the permission automatically came down to /content/experience-fragment/. But the experience fragments below that still remained denied. According to my understanding the permissions should have come down to the lowest level from the parent. But, that is not true in this case. The permission is getting applied to the child folders under /content/experience-fragment (even if there ...

Sadly, I am facing the same issue. So, can i conclude that we need to work from claasic UI since Touch UI doesn't provide the flexibility to access all the paths to which permissions are given?

Hi All,i wanted to work on permission for users/groups and i am using AEM 6.5.5. I am pretty much comfortable with useradmin console to do so, but when i want to do the same task in Touch UI, i am very much blank in it. In case of permission console in Touch UI, i am not able to see all the paths like we get to see in useradmin. consider the case, that my new group needs to inherit permissions from content-author and then add some extra permission and remover some existing permission (which is c...
