Hi, I tried adding equals sign to the filter, filtering for the property `paths` and `modifications.paths`, and listening to ReplicationAction.EVENT_TOPIC, but none of those work. I think the issue realy is, that the `com/day/cq/wcm/core/page` event presents with the path obscured by the wrapping object (an ArrayList with one element in this case).

Hello @Arun_Patidar , Thanks for the tip, the event route turned out to yeild a working implementation.I still have one concern though. The event that is published when the configuration is saved has the broad topic of `com/day/cq/wcm/core/page`, so filtering on level of code seems like a potential performace issue. But I'm unable to filter events using the `EventConstants.EVENT_FILTER`.I tried to specify EventConstants.EVENT_FILTER + "(path=/conf*)"orEventConstants.EVENT_FILTER + "(modifications....

Hello, Is there a way a translation connector can influence what gets displayed on a translation job tile, when a TranslationException is thrown from the connector? The generic "Error: Failed to start translation" leads to pretty frustrating user experience. Also, in general, is there any explicit docummentation on what kind of behavior different error codes produce? Thanks and kind regards,Jan Humpal

Hi Arun, thanks! Could you please give a hint or point to a resource on how to invoke the Java API when the configuration form is submitted? I tried to find such resource, but could only find explanations of invoking code when the form is rendered.

Hello Arun! Thanks for the reference, however I don't see how that answers the question.Let me try to clarify what the problem is.Formerly, these used to be the steps the user of our connector would take to set up the configuration:Create the configurationOpen /system/console/cryptoEncode the password to our serviceFill the encoded password and other detailsSave the configurationStep 2 and 3 are no longer possible in cloud. I was asking if there is a way the code of our connector could invoke th...

For the configuration of our translation connector we need to save a password in its Translation Cloud configuration. This used to be ok in AEM 6.5 as the password could be encrypted using the /system/console/crypto. This is no longer possible in cloud based AEM.Is there a way to programatically invoke the same functionality, when the config form is saved?

Hello Marc, thanks for your advice. I checked and there is a service user called 'translation-preview-service', but no user called 'translation-preview'.Is that equivalent, or does it need to be exactly 'translation-preview'?

Hello, com.adobe.granite.translation.api.TranslationObject#getTranslationObjectPreview is behaving inconsistently upon starting a translation job. When I start a translation job in a translation project using the job tile dropdown, it returns the stream as expected. However, when I select the translation project tile and click 'Start Translation Job(s)' the method returns null. This happens regardless of content (tested with multiple different We.Retail pages) and amount of jobs. log: 31.08.2020...

While I appreciate the feedback from Nupur, as it shows that this is not merely a problem local to my setup, I still hesitate to mark it as a final answer to my questions. I would still like a confirmation, that this is truly a limitation of the translation framework, rather than a case of two different developers running into the same wall.

Thank you for your feedback! I was afraid it might be the case, that circumventing the translation framework here will be necessary.

Hello, I am trying to use the TranslationObject#getTranslationObjectPreview method to get a preview of a page. I expect a zip with all files required to open the page offline, independently of AEM.I would then like to send this archive over http to a server (which I believe is only tangentially important). My issue is that when I open this zip package, the html page has broken encoding and image links: Exploring the archive structure a bit I find the images from the body of the article, however,...

Hello Arpit, Thanks for the answer! I think I have a better idea of the whole concept now. Just to confirm, this means that following recommended practices, both the translation framework and MSM actually operate independently.Meaning that the translation framework creates language copies, which can then be utilized for different regions via Live copies? So the answer to my original questions would be no and yes respectively? (With the caveat that those are actually two different questions despi...

Hello, I have a hopefully fairly simple question. Does MSM work with the native AEM translation framework? In other words, would a translation connector that follows the structure outlined by the bootstrap conenctor be able to correctly operate on content of an AEM instance that employs MSM? It seems to me that the answer is yes, however some of the phrasing here and here is causing doubts. Thanks and kind regards,Jan Humpál
