Both documents do not show them as deprecated - but some methods are deprecated. Please check if you are using them, if not raise a query for Adobe on this.

For issue 1: Check if you have added the experience fragment twice. Navigating through different divs in Adobe Target is tough - so you might create a new experience and author it again.

If you don't need them you can go ahead with complete client-side rendering.
