Formula that looks at two different fields - Adobe LiveCycle 15-06-2011
Hi,I posted this request for help not too long ago but didn't clearly explain what is needed. When text is entered into a field (currentgoal1, currentgoal2 - each equaling 1), the formula needs to look at a different field (point1, point 2 - each holds a list box of with points 1, 3, 5, or NA) to see if "NA" was chosen. If NA was chosen (rather than a point, 1, 3, 5) then the goalcount (total number of populated currentgoal fields) needs to subtract 1 from goalcount. currentgoal 1 = 1 pointcurre...

Re: Formula - Adobe LiveCycle 10-06-2011
I just realized I failed to explain clearly what is needed. Sorry about that. I forgot that when a goal is entered, the formula needs to look at the point field to see if it says "NA". The goal field is called currentgoal1 and the point field is current1. So the goal count total needs to look at currentgoal1 then current1 and if "NA" then don't count it. So currentgoal 1 has texted entered into it, current1 has a value of NA. Currentgoal2 has text, current2 has a value of 1. Total goal count is ...

Re: Formula - Adobe LiveCycle 10-06-2011
Hi Malcom,Thank you for the quick response. I entered the formula in the first goal count only however, it does not seem to work. Would it need to be added to all in order to work?HIRE.#subform[6].INDIVIDUALGOALHEADINGSECTION.goalcount::calculate - (JavaScript, client)var goalcount = 0if ((Table3.Row1.currentgoal1.rawValue!= null)&&(Table3.Row1.currentgoal1.rawValue!="NA")){goalcount= goalcount++;}if(Table3.Row2.currentgoal2.rawValue!= null){goalcount= goalcount + 1;}if(Table3.Row3.currentgoal3....

Hi,I'm using Livecycle Designer for a dynamic form. I have a section of a form that contains fields for the user to enter goals in one column and then choose a rate (0,1,2,3,NA) for that goal in another column. There is a formula to add up the number of goals entered if the field has text in it. There is a situation where the user will enter a goal but the chosen rate will be NA - meaning that there is a goal but its not applicable at this time. If I have 3 goals entered, and one is rated NA wit...

Formatting in an interactive PDF - Adobe LiveCycle 12-01-2011
Hi,I have a form that has a section that needs to be able to go into auto numbering/sub bullets, etc as needed (like an outline format). Is this possible? Also, within that same section, there are cases where the user wants to copy from a Word document, keeping the same outline type format, into the form. I've tried but it gets distorted. Is there a way?

Increasing number of rows in a section - Adobe LiveCycle 12-11-2010
Hi,I'm lost on how to increase rows in a dynamic section that has calculations based on each entry. When I add a row under Goals for Current Year, going from 6 to 9 rows (it will be up to 15 eventually) an error message comes up. It was working fine until trying to add the rows. There is a calculation on another page that is based on the number of Goals and Points.

Re: User Error Message - Adobe LiveCycle 25-10-2010
Seems like its working the same way as in the previous document. So it is possible to have an error message on a different page that will look at a particular section of the form to see if a goal or point has been missed. In order to make it work, the user must click on "Validate"? I like the reset option but then it reset the entire section and they would probably beat me. I'm pretty new at this, so I really appreciate your patience.
