Hello,  based on an upcoming requirement I wonder is it possible to import an user into AEM 6.5 instance from an active directory, during log in process? If so how is it possible? 

I couldn't solve the problem. I restartet from scratch days later and the described sitution has gone.

Where are the buttons placed? In site admin or in menu when after you pressed the edit button.

Under some mysterious circumstance a bundle will not be updated when a code package is imported via package manager. In this case you can call <address>/system/console/bundle and install the bundle manually.

It seems your project works with html and javascript. Can you check browsers console? May there is a cross browser policy that prevents component functionality.

As far as I know there is no opton to pass individual parameters from htl to java.
