Hello,I am running Adobe Analytics on a hotel booking site and we
successfully track reservations. However, we do not have the option to
track modified bookings on the site and in order to modify a booking
user has to carry it out by calling our helpline numbers offline. We
want to bulk import our modified bookings every day in adobe and reflect
our revenue. Is it possible to that in Adobe and if yes how can i
achieve it ? (detailed steps would be really helpful here). Also, I read
a post about ...
Hello Andrey,Thank you for your response. Yes the TransactionID
recording is enabled for the reporting suite. No its mostly issues with
eVars firing on confirmation page reporting bad data. Most of these
eVars also have expiration set to visit, which I assume should be set to
the purchase event. I cannot share a beacon of the request or url as its
behind vpn i can just access reporting side. Do you suspect in above
scenario that a email address getting associated with another booking id
On the booking confirmation page, I am using one eVar to set to the
transactionID and another eVar that's set to user-email both via
data-layer and populating correctly. The expiration of transactionID
eVar is set to 'Visit' and expiration of user-email eVar is set to
'Never'. When analyzing my reporting in adobe, I came across this data
discrepancy. I noticed that for a single transactionID 2 bookings were
being reported which should not be the case. So I broke down my
transactionID with user-e...
Thanks much again Blaine. Inorder to get the raw data feed and post
eVar127 data would I need to contact client care or can it be done
internally via adobe reporting ? Also you mean that this same value of
eVar127 might be persisted across these 3 bookings right ? But the
worrying part here is that these 3 bookings were made in different
years, so for eVar127 to persist so long for these 3 different bookings
seems very difficult.
Thanks a lot Blaine for your insights. When you mention 'my concern
would be the exclusion of legitimate orders occurring the same day with
the current format' can you elaborate a bit more on that on what might
you think that's the issue here. Also an important finding, I just
verified that after I make a booking and land on confirmation page,
there is no way i can view the confirmation page again. Once Im logged
out I can only view the reservation details and if I try to copy paste
Thanks a lot Blaine, I actually looked into the persistence issue and
noticed that the eVar above and various other such eVars has an expiry
at 'visit' level. I suppose their expiration should be set at 'purchase'
success event right ? Also, would setting these eVars to 'visit' level
expiry may be the issue here ? Also, along the same lines I have
documented another issue, would love to hear your thoughts on that as
well. Question URL - PurchaseID set with Timestamp Issue
Hello,We are having a lot of transactions on the site, so for this
reason we are re-cycling our booking confirmation numbers/ order id
numbers on the confirmation screen which is set into our purchaseID .
Since we are re-using our booking confirmation number, in order to make
our purchaseID unique we are adding timestamp to our purchaseID variable
using pipe delimeter. So formula looks like:purchaseID = order_id + '|'
+ timestamp (current date).My concern here is, let's say I make a
Hello,I am noticing that the eVar that i use to send the transaction ID
is getting duplicated along with metrics such as bookings and revenue.
And I am setting this same transaction ID in my purchaseID variable on
confirmation screen along with purchase event. From what I have read is
setting purchaseID on confirmation provides serialization and orders are
not counted multiple times even when the page is refreshed. But I
created a report in my workspace to view my eVar reports that captures
