My form has a check box that when checked "No" should negate entering data in any subsequent fields - even if "required" by users who check "Yes".What expression do I build (while in form design) to have the "No" field perform this action and then return a message giving instructions. e.g., if "No" is checked, I want the form to still be saved/submitted.I don't build expressions very often, so a detailed start to finish would be awesome. If I've posted in the wrong forum, please direct me to the...

OK. So in Preview in LIveCycle it works and when I save it as dynamic pdf it works.BUT - the user needs to be able to save it after they enter data. So I resaved using the "Reader Extended pdf" option and this is what the user sees - only the first row repeated over and over.

This discussion is also in the Forms forum.I have a four part form of which one page holds employment history information for up to four places of employment. I have created a table that holdsdata for up to four employment histories. I've done that so that a person who doesn't fill the form out online can print and copy that page to allow for more than four histories. My issue is, how can I create a "Add Employers" button that an online form filler can click to duplicate this page (add duplicate ...

Thanks. I figured out that I had inadvertently clicked on (enabled) Lock Fields. It took awhile as when that is turned on, the menu item doesn't show that you've turned it on e.g. no check mark or default to "Unlock Fields". If it changed to "Unlock Fields", I wouldn't have spent so much time trying to figure out what happened:o).Something the LiveCycle team may want to change in that menu.Penni

Working in LiveCycle Designer ES2 v.9 - I have 10 forms that I've designed for my client. I opened them this morning to edit the design and all the data fields are locked. In the Hierarchy tab, the names are greyed out. I haven't done anything to the forms since saving last night. Some of the forms are really complex and and no way do I want to recreate them. I tried saving with a different name but that doesn't work either. NB. The forms work OK when opened in Acrobat (for filling). It's just t...

I am not experienced at scripting in LiveCycle Designer ES2.This is what my PDF fillable form looks like when it is opened by the user:But, I don't want the default to be $0.00 as some users may print the form and will enter manually in all fields. I want it to be empty until data is added in any one of Hourly Rate or Total Contract Hours. This is the form design with Object Binding tab (and Data Binding as Use Name() of:TtlHrsHrlyRateVacRate (this is a protected field to set default value to .04...

Thanks. Copied your code but at first didn't work but realized that in copying, some spaces were added that when deleted, resulted in the form working they way I wanted it to.

I have successfully concatenated the first and last name fields in form design but when I open/run the form the concatenated field (FullName) defaults to "null null" on the form. I want it to be blank until the user enters data in the FirstName and LastName fields.I am not an experienced Java scripter and need to have the full script exactly as it needs to be entered from start to finish. Here is what is in the script editor the current script:form1.Subform1.FullName::calculate - (JavaScript, cli...
