Anyone on ACC v7, build 9182? wALF - Adobe Campaign Classic
Hiya folks, We're fully hosted and just upgraded to the latest "RC" build 9182 and was wondering if any of y'all have it too. We've already had 2-3 observations which we have reported with Support and are awaiting their response, a) Accessing heatmap crashes the client console almost every time, especially when you choose a date different than today's.b) Active Profiles doesn't show up on the Control Panel. The tech workflows that feed to it also fail frequently citing a SQL failure reasons.c) W...

Re: Identifying & dropping orphan temp tables wALF - Adobe Campaign Classic
For the benefit of all who come here with the same query/issue, I'm marking the above as unresolved as I realize that although the comment is helpful/relevant but does not cater to the issue in hand.

Re: Identifying & dropping orphan temp tables wALF - Adobe Campaign Classic
Is there a way to list down all temp tables based on their create date?

Low open rates on microsoft, outlook domains? wALF - Adobe Campaign Classic
Hi all, Recently, we've been noticing a low open rate for customers on the hotmail, outlook domains. It could be that our emails are landing in the ‘Other’ tab within the Outlook app and hence not being seen by customers. If this is the case there will be people who are just not seeing our comms and therefore missing to open them.It could well be that opens appear lower than other domains due to emails not rendering properly on open, but it would be good to have your opinion to see if there's so...

Re: Question on Load balancing in Adobe Campaign Classic wALF - Adobe Campaign Classic
Hi Prasanna, I have no knowledge of the ACC architecture but we were kinda struggling to understand our architecture too. The only difference is that we are completely hosted and so it's a complete black-box for us. We know we are on the Linux + TomCat + Postgres stack. We have 1 instance URL (specified in the client console login screen) but I think that links/corresponds to 1 of the 4 servers we have. We know a little bit about the different components (web, mta, wfserver etc) but don't know h...

Re: Identifying & dropping orphan temp tables wALF - Adobe Campaign Classic
Thanks Amit, Inder & Craig for your responses. Would appreciate if you can comment on, If I'm not wrong, the naming convention for a workflow temp table comprise of wkf_ (or something similar). If we can somehow have a javascript scanning through the database to identify workflow temp tables present for workflows that are missing/deleted, can't we drop all such workflow temp tables? Or as an alternative, a javascript for dropping workflow temp tables that are older than X days (say a month, as I...

Re: Limiting records for test runs wALF - Adobe Campaign Classic
Hi Jon & Craig, Totally agree that we need a pre-prod region and that no testing/build activity should be performed on Prod. But that's how we are, without a pre-prod region. Given the situation we're in (and in general, for all other customers too), don't you think having the ability to limit records flowing from 1 box to the other, be helpful? As for saving the interim results, trust me, we have always encouraged users to not make use of this but end users are end users 🙂 -wALF

Re: Concurrent processing in Fork wALF - Adobe Campaign Classic
I would've thought ACC would also provide that parallel execution just like Unica (it's quite common/expected tbh). There could be multiple use cases, for eg: Fork spawning 3 branches in the order belowa) labelled Heavy (takes roughly 30 mins to complete) and then finally outputs an email delivery and ends.b) labelled Moderate (takes roughly 15 mins to complete) and then finally outputs another mail delivery (to a different set of customers) and ends.c) labelled Light (takes 2 mins to complete) ...

Re: ACC: Older logs wALF - Adobe Campaign Classic
Indeed, I played around with newest to oldest. I can confirm there are logs for previous dates.

Re: ACC: Older logs wALF - Adobe Campaign Classic
Hi Craig, Adobe confirmed that to view previous days' logs, you will have to change the instance URLs. They also confirmed this is the behaviour observed with other customers too and that this is the expected behaviour. Adobe also confirmed that logs aren't referred by end customers so, the support teams provide them with prior days' logs, once a request has been raised. This sounded very unconvincing and more like a workaround to me.I think if we can't view prior days' logs, the whole purpose o...

Re: Identifying & dropping orphan temp tables wALF - Adobe Campaign Classic
That's right. We carry out the partial DB vacuuming almost every month and it really helps. However, DB vacuuming is more like 'disk fragmentation' of Windows and I doubt if it would drop such unwanted temp tables.

Re: Identifying & dropping orphan temp tables wALF - Adobe Campaign Classic
Hi Inder,We already have a tech workflow for respective end users to be notified and take corrective action. However, end users are end users and not many adhere to best practices, unfortunately. Hence, the thought of identifying & dropping temp tables. -wALF

Limiting records for test runs wALF - Adobe Campaign Classic
Hiya, We're hosted on ACC v7 build 8894 with Postgres as our DB. Since we don't have a pre-prod region, our end users build campaign workflows directly on Prod and play/test with it. The testing on Prod results in large data sets being sent from one activity to the other, multiple running until they get the desired target list, saving interim run results . Instead, we were thinking if they can limit these test runs on a subset of the larger data, it would result in faster workflow execution whil...

Identifying & dropping orphan temp tables wALF - Adobe Campaign Classic
Hiya, We are hosted on ACC v7 build 8894. While the campaign workflows are getting executed and when the interim run results option is checked, there are quite a few temp tables that get created. These workflows don't get dropped (by the daily OOB cleanup workflow) even after the end user has unchecked that option after the workflow has finished running. They continue to stay in the database and will only get dropped if you disable all activities of that workflow, run the workflow again that has...

Concurrent processing in Fork wALF - Adobe Campaign Classic
We are hosted on ACC v7 build 8894. We have observed that, the transitions that spawn out of a Fork, are executed in the sequence specified and not concurrently. This means if a workflow has a Fork spawning 25 transitions, all these 25 transitions will only execute sequentially and not concurrently. Is there a config parameter that we can toggle to allow this to be processed/run in parallel? -wALF

ACC: Older logs wALF - Adobe Campaign Classic
Hiya, We're on hosted on ACC v7 build 8894. For some reason, when I go to the Home tab and click on Monitoring, I can't seem to view the web (web@default), mta (mta@default) etc. logs for the previous days. It shows the logs for the current date but not for any other date range I select using the date pickers there. Can y'all advice what could be wrong here? -Harshal

Re: List vs. Group wALF - Adobe Campaign Classic
Thanks, I now know that a Group is a static list of profiles whereas a List can be a dynamic list which can be refreshed when the underlying workflow (having List Update box) is re-run. The question is, when we go to the List page (where all lists are listed), I can click on the Create New icon and choose New list ... Earlier, we were seeing the List Type dropdown enabled and we could choose whether we wanted to create a Group or a List. Now, something has changed (not sure what) but we don't se...

List vs. Group wALF - Adobe Campaign Classic
Hello all,There's 2 ways to creating a List.1) via workflow and dragging a List Update button2) in the List page, clicking New icon and choosing New list... When the small pop-up window opens, there's a List Type dropdown that has List and Group as the 2 values. In our case, this drop down is disabled. We remember seeing 2 values in it once and now only Group appears as grayed (that we can't change).- what could be the reason/- what is the difference between List & Group?-Harshal

Knowing your AC type wALF - Adobe Campaign Standard
Sorry for a very naïve question, but how do you know if you're on AC Classic or AC Standard version? I tried going to the About page but it only showed me the version & build of the client console and the application server.
