What did you use to throttle deliveries? Any custom formula or how was this done?How long do the deliveries normally take? You said send a report every hour, does this mean 2 or 3 reports or are they spreading over a longer period?Then I can think what might be a possible way.

Unfortunately strings longer than 255 characters cannot be modified inside Enrichments etc.You would have to handle such items before it is returned to ACS.This may be either the source web service or you may need some intermediate service doing the transformation
