FormsHelper clientvalidation on 6.2 coolpaul - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
On 5.6.1, I could see that the class Foundation FormsHelper class injects the cq.forms client library on the page if the clientside validation is turned on the Start form component. However after the upgrade to 6.2, the cq.forms client library is not injected. The other validation snippets are getting injected on page (something like the following) function cq5forms_preCheck_defaultForm(submitid) { var dMsgs = "Please fill out the required field.";if (cq5forms_isEmpty(document.forms["__some path_...

Apache Sling Content Disposition Filter coolpaul - Adobe Experience Manager
In AEM 6.2, we have the following configuration Apache Sling Content Disposition Filter (org.apache.sling.security.impl.ContentDispositionFilter). Is there any side effects of unchecking the option "Enable Content Disposition for all paths".I have unchecked it to prevent the dam assets like PDF from being downloaded automatically. Is it possible to restrict this only for PDF files irrespective of paths.

issue with show hide rules within dropdown form component coolpaul - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi,I am facing an issue with show hide rules in AEM 6.2. On Geometrixx Media site, I've tried configuring two drop downs within the start & end form components - /libs/foundation/components/form/dropdown. The idea is to make the second dropdown visible based on the value selected in the first dropdown.I am able to configure this functionality only the first time. However on subsequent page reloads, I could see that show hide condition in the dialog vanishes & doesn't allow me to configure it any...

Re: 302 redirect for my get servlets on dispatcher to publish server. coolpaul - Adobe Experience Manager
Runal.Trivedi wrote... Rewriting URL is not something that dispatcher controls, rewrite mainly happens because of rewrite module in apache and rules configured. I would suggest you enable rewrite logs in apache to debug level and see why it is issuing a 302 redirect. There were some reverse proxy redirect rules which was the reason.

302 redirect for my get servlets on dispatcher to publish server. coolpaul - Adobe Experience Manager
I have few GET servlets registered on path /bin/****. This works fine on publish instances. However, when the site is requested via dispatcher, I could see that there is a 302 redirect to the publish server. This is on a dev environment with https enabled. Any thoughts on this.

Re: forward.jsp issue in custom form action with AEM 6.2 coolpaul - Adobe Experience Manager
This has happened since one of the form field component within (dropdown component) has the target option clicked from edit bar. This was the reason for the forward.jsp not being invoked. After reverting to the original configuration it worked. Took a bit of time to investigate as there are around hundreds of form fields. Might help someone if come across something similar...

forward.jsp issue in custom form action with AEM 6.2 coolpaul - Adobe Experience Manager
I am migrating from AEM 5.6.1 to AEM 6.2. I have a custom mail action with a forward.jsp which sets some attributes to the sling request. This component works fine in AEM 5.6.1. However, after updating to AEM 6.2, the forward.jsp is not being invoked while clicking submit. Instead the POST servlet is invoked directly. Any idea what is going wrong?Paul

Re: strange behavior while starting publish instance coolpaul - Adobe Experience Manager
Sham,Could you please also confirm if it is desirable to Default Login Page value from /content/geometrixx/en/toolbar/account/login to /libs/granite/core/content/login" for the configuration Day CQ Login Selector Authentication Handler" in a publish instance as this kind fix the issue while accessing Felix console directly. We will get the login screen by making this change instead of the exception being thrown on page.

Re: strange behavior while starting publish instance coolpaul - Adobe Experience Manager
Sham HC wrote... AFAIK -r stands for contextpath & not run mode. In case you find our documentation says -r for runmode then it needs to be validated. Anyhow leaving this apart Case1 is an indication that aem installed with geometrixx Or author mode & hence worked. Where has case2 sounds author mode converted into publish because crxde light is disabled in publish by default & not sure how it got enabled. In any case case2 is valid behaviour of getting 500 error when geomwtrixx is not installed....

smacdonald2008 wrote... There is something in that last package that corrupted some scripts. I will get support to look at this to see if they have a procedure to fix this. We have created an ACL package (for /content & /etc nodes) from 5.6.1 instance using ACS Commons utility and deployed it on 6.2. This seems to be the root cause.

It would be really great if we have some utility available to remove and uninstall the package.

I am having an AEM 6.2 publish instance and I am not able to access the CRX de lite and Felix console. However, I am able to access the CRX/explorer using admin credentials. What could the reason. The step which we performed before this was installing users, groups and ACL nodes from old 5.6.1 instance to the new 6.2 instance. Any pointers would be helpful. Please find some of the logs'/opt/AEM/Publish1/AEM/crx-quickstart/monitoring/cpu.sh'java.io.FileNotFoundException: cpu.sh at com.adobe.granite...

Clone the instance & incremental Migration of AEM 6.2 coolpaul - Adobe Experience Manager
What is the best way to take a clone of an AEM 6.2 instance.(it could be Author or Publish instances). Is this article still valid for AEM 6.2. https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/kb/CloneInstance.htmlIf I create a new DEV instance from a 5.6.1 instance production backup (sits on a separate Data center), perform in-place upgrade, apply code fixes to support AEM 6.2. Take a clone of the DEV instance to QA, Preprod, PROD respectively. Once the new PROD environment is stable with code fixes,...

crx2oak tool queries coolpaul - Adobe Experience Manager
I have a query regarding the crx2oak tool. This is specifically w.r.t. incremental migration used for handling the delta content. Q. Will it support the source to be a on different Data Center. Should source & target repository to be on same Data Center. ( Here Data Center 1 contains old 5.6.1 instance which is live & Data Center 2 contains new 6.2 instance).Just want to be sure if backing up and moving the same could be avoided if it is supported.

Permission changes after upgrade from 5.6.1 to 6.2 coolpaul - Adobe Experience Manager
After performing an in-place upgrade from CQ 5.6.1 to AEM 6.2, we have noticed that the permission applied for users groups got changed. This happens with most of the nodes under etc node. This disables access to the contents from consoles like Workflows, Package Manager, Tagging etc. Is it the expected behavior and we need to explicitly define the permissions after the migration.Best RegardsPaul John

Re: AEM 6.2 author crashed after package installation coolpaul - Adobe Experience Manager
Opkar Gill wrote... Have you removed the user package from the install folder? The quartz scheduler error is actually a bit of a red herring and does not affect the repository. This a single author instance right? No standby in this setup? For the users package, it was installed via package manager as it is around 1 MB in size. Hence I did not install via install folder. This is a single local author instance without any standby. However there is around 70 GB of data from higher environment.
