Re: [WORKSPACE] Sorting by dimensions vickyg28253246 - Adobe Analytics
Also, why not allow multilevel sorting? For example, column A is a calculated indicator with a a few discrete values (0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1), column B is the traffic volume. Being able to sort by A - thereby grouping the visitors corresponding to each indicator value, and then within each of the resulting groups to sort by traffic would be very useful!

Re: Use Calculated metrics inside segments vickyg28253246 - Adobe Analytics
Here is my use case: working on Persona Development, want to create segments of visitors who mainly come from a certain channel and then do or do not add to cart. The calculated metrics involve entries form this channel as % of all entries, and % of visits from this channel resulting in a cart addition. Clearly need either to be able to use the calculated metric in creating a segment, or ability to create Math expressions and use logic functions in Segments. This is very unfortunate as in future ...

Payment Sites list vickyg28253246 - Adobe Analytics
We are seeing a large number of Payment Sites, especially in Asia and Europe obscuring the true referrers. We currently manage these by adding them to the list of Internal URL filters, but the list is growing, and it would be really helpful if Adobe were to start building and maintaining such a global list, similarly to the list of Social sites and Search engines.Alternatively, these payment sites can simply be excluded through "contains" filter (e.g. exclude URLs containing 'bank' or 'card'), b...

We, too, as seeing an enormous number of payment sites, both in EMEA and in Asia. I really wish Adobe would set up and maintain a list.

Re: DW includes records that should have been excluded vickyg28253246 - Adobe Analytics
Thank you Asheeshp,This is good to know, although why wouldn't Adobe filter these records out of the extract is not clear to me. For example, if I want to extract the transactions per visitor where the visitor is "registered" and not a "guest", I would apply the "not a guest" segment, but I absolutely do need the visitor dimension in the extract, to know the visitor for each transaction.Does anyone have a solution?Thank you

DW includes records that should have been excluded vickyg28253246 - Adobe Analytics
The DW extracts often include a substantial number of records that should have specifically been excluded by the segment applied in the extract. For example, segment container is Hit, and the condition is that eVarX does not equal "Unspecified" (we have also tried it with the condition eVarX exists - same result). And yet, the extract contains tens of thousands or records where eVarX is blank. Checking these records in Workspace produces "Unspecified" as the value for eVarX .The impact is that th...

Re: Date of the last visit vickyg28253246 - Adobe Analytics
Thank you David,Yes, that's exactly what I meant - specific date for each visitor. Both of your solutions make sense, thank you. I was convinced that there was a way to build a segment and a metric, but I just could not see it.

Date of the last visit vickyg28253246 - Adobe Analytics
Sorry if there is an obvious solution, I seem to be stuck - is there a way to determine the date of the last visit per user? Also, can I create a segment that would isolate the last visit?Thank you

Re: Entry Page and Hit Depth, Real-Case vickyg28253246 - Adobe Analytics
Thank you ursboller,Could you please clarify the first solution: how can I create a segment isolating ALL entry hits:- initial entries (hit depth 1) plus- subsequent re-entries (the user during the same visit re-enters from the outside with or without a tracking code and with the same or different referring domain)Failing that, how can we capture the hits associated with a change in either referring domain or tracking code - through Marketing Channel instances? But what if the new tracking code ...

ursbollerI would still like to know - how could that page C be identified as a "re-entry" page.Is there a way to capture these "Re-entry" pages, where within the same visit session the visitor might re-enter the site, possibly on a different tab, from the same or different referring domain?

Re: How to exclude weekends from alerts? vickyg28253246 - Adobe Analytics
Thanks Ursboller,Makes sense logically. I actually do see a dimension "Weekday/Weekend" which has 2 values: "weekend" and "weekday". If I apply "weekday" as a segment, it automatically updates any metric for the weekend to 0.I have implemented this segment as a filter for my traffic change alert and am waiting to see if I get an alert this weekend.

How to exclude weekends from alerts? vickyg28253246 - Adobe Analytics
I have seen this question dated back to 2015, and at the time the answer was "you can't".I am hoping now with the intelligent alerts we can.I tried to use the "Weekday/weekend" dimension, but not quite sure it works. Is there an obvious solution I am missing?Thank you

eVar-based container for segmentation vickyg28253246 - Adobe Analytics
I think we need, for lack of a better description, a next-level container...The same customer might visit under different Adobe IDs. Let's say I capture the customer account in an eVar, so now multiple Adobe IDs have the same value in this eVar.Currently, the largest container available is "visitor", which is based on the Adobe ID. It'd be great if we could segment on an eVar that groups multiple Adobe IDs.For example, separating Purchasers and Non-purchasers by Adobe ID is not meaningful, as th...

Re: A container combining multiple visitor IDs? vickyg28253246 - Adobe Analytics
Thank you, that's what I thought too, but the classification rule builder does not allow for this kind of logic. Are you saying I'd have to SAINT it?

Re: A container combining multiple visitor IDs? vickyg28253246 - Adobe Analytics
Thank you ursboller,I have already classified visitor ID and now have a dimension, and I do know how many distinct values I have in this dimension. How can I now segment by this dimension?A simple example - how do I segregate purchasers and non-purchasers not by Adobe Visitor ID but by my Account ID?

I am looking to capture not a specific static set of accounts, but rather dynamically AL the accounts that fall under a certain scenario.

Whether there is a significant number of visitors who use the site to view the product then place their orders offline. If yes, cluster by visitors and/or by products to see the patterns, re-evaluate internal processes.

I'd check if this visitor placed an offline order with me for this product. For ALL such visitor/product combinations.

When you say "a certain product" - do you mean one specific product? Sure, that's possible. I mean across the entire catalog, all the situations where any visitor viewed but did not purchase any product. Can you please clarify?

Re: Segment or calculated metric matching one eVar value to another vickyg28253246 - Adobe Analytics
Sorry Pratheep,Let me give you two scenarios (I realize they are quite different in nature, but both stumped me in segment creation):Scenario 1:Visitor enters a search term captured in v1. The search results in several matches - exact and fuzzy, with the top result being the closest match. The top result is captured in v2. I want to create a segment that would include the visits where v1 matched v2. How?Scenario 2:Visitor views several products. Visitor does or does not place an order for one of...
