Thanks for the assist, really appreciate it. I just posted another question. I am working in the Tab Order pallet and there are fields that I do not want to set as tab stops, however, I can't figure out how to remove them from the tab order.... Any ideas?

That did the trick. Had to change it from a Text box to a Date Field, then for the field name use the floating field name. Appreciate the assistance!

Thanks for the assist. This worked great for the phone number, but it doesn't give me the ability to select the Date under the select type list. Is there a way to change the pattern options once the display/data box comes up? I tried to copy and paste the format from a Date field pattern, but it gave me an error saying the pattern was invalid.

I have floating fields in a form that are linked to date and phone number fields that I have formatted, yet the floating fields in other areas on the document do not display these fields in the format I defined in the main record... How do I make them display the same way?

Using LC ES4. I have a form that uses the same floating field multiple times, however, it will only populate the first instance. Document is saved as dynamic. What am I doing wrong?

I created a form in LiveCycle Designer ES4 and locked it to prevent static fields from being modified or changed. It is now time to review and update the form, but I cannot remember where I need to go to unlock the form so I can edit it. Can someone please point me to the toolbar I need to get to so I can unlock the content to edit.

Ulibaehr, Thanks for the info. My original goal was to be able to have the signature block stay a static distance from the last line of text. The text within the text box sits below a Text Field that will expand and push down the content of the static text within the box. didn't try the text field and convert to signature later. I ultimately moved the signature block out side the text field and just expanded the text field to the max possible based on inputs to the text field. Do appreciate the ...

Harold, Unfortunately the image did come through. Anyway, this would tell me that the 'Save as other' didn't save or get set to ‘Enable More Tools (Including form fill-in and save)…’. Once the form is saved in Acrobat Pro with this setting selected, the form should function just as it does under Pro.

Thanks. This makes sense, and I can replicate. Problem is that both the Text field and the signature field are INSIDE a Text box with static data. The text field is at the top and the signature is at the bottom of the text box.

Try doing the following. Don't know if it is available in DC or requires DC Pro. With the file open in DC, From the File menuSelect ‘Save as Other…’Select ‘Reader Extended PDF’Select ‘Enable More Tools (Including form fill-in and save)…’This step will need to be done every time after you make any changes to the form.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I am pretty sure i am using a flowing form (Where do i check to confirm). I have a Large Text box, and i need to put a digital signature box. I can get the box inside the text box, but if data is input that pushes the existing text down, the signature box does not move down with it. Not sure how to link or if I need to pull this section outside the text box.

Harold, Not sure you can make the box itself dynamic to allow for expansion, however you can make the contents wrap and expand by using the 'Allow Multiple Lines' in the field properties for the box you want too expand. You may want to try the Expand to fit on the layout page as this points to an anchor point and the starting location. As for allowing the form to be fillable in reader, if you have Acrobat Pro, you can:From the File menuSelect ‘Save as Other…’Select ‘Reader Extended PDF’Select ‘En...

What software is the user using. If it is Adobe Acrobat Reader, and the form was built in LiveCycle Designer, you need to access the form in Acrobat Pro and change it. Here is a link on how to do this.https://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/how-to-enable-reader-users-to-save-form-data

I am working in LiveCycle Designer ES4, and have a document which contains a full page text box. With in the text box is a Text Field that is expandable to multiple lines, so it may push the text down. At the bottom of the page, I have a signature block, but I can't get the box to move with the text if it shifts. Need to figure out how to make the signature box move with the text in the text block.[Here is the list of all Adobe forums... https://forums.adobe.com/welcome][Comments is to ask about...
