Re: Conditional Required Fields gretchenhs42 - Adobe LiveCycle
How can I say if Checkbox=1, then 1 of the 3 checkboxes under it is required? So if BP1003 is checked then all of the EC_C1C2 and it's underlings are all =0But 1 of the 3 of the under BP1003 are required.if(EQ_BP1003.rawValue =='1'){ EC_C1C2.rawValue=0; EC_1.rawValue=0; EC_2.rawValue=0; EC_3.rawValue=0; BP_1.mandatory="error" or BP_2.mandatory="error" or BP_3.mandatory="error";}I'm not sure what to put in the or place. Thanks

default a calculated numeric field gretchenhs42 - Adobe LiveCycle
Morning -I have two issues....I am using Adobe Livecycle Designer ES4My first issue is...I have a table that is adding rows when a button is pushed. I want one of the columns to increase in number by 1 for each row. I have this working BUT I want the first number to be 12, not 1. I cannot figure out how to do this! My second issue is I have a few fields on the master page that I want to appear on every page. Like Policy Number, Client name. When I add a unit on the form, it clears these fields o...

Re: PDF merging gretchenhs42 - Adobe LiveCycle
The only way I've ever been able to do this is, if they are both forms, then I can bring them both up, insert a page into the one I want the other added to. Copy and paste the information on to the new page. It's not pretty, but doable. I don't know the answer if you are not working with forms though.

Writing and if then else statement gretchenhs42 - Adobe LiveCycle
I know this is a lot easier than I'm making it, but I've been trying to figure out the correct syntax all afternoon.I have a table with 15 rows, if the column Change15 is = R, then I want column FarmDes15 to be visibleAny other value I want it to be invisible.I have...if ($.boundItem(xfa.event.newText) == "R") { this.resolveNode("FarmDes15").presence = "visible";} else { this.resolveNode("FarmDes15").presence = "invisible";}which works, but whenever I choose a value for Change, it clears out all...

Click checkbox, subform prints gretchenhs42 - Adobe LiveCycle
So here I am again with a bell and whistle request.I am not a programmer, so if someone were to help me, I'll need some hand holding.I have a 5 page form with lots of endorsements on it. Each Endorsement starts with a checkbox. Each endorsement is in it's own subform.I would like to see if I can arrange if someone clicks on a subform checkbox, it will print. Otherwise it will not. To save paper and sanity. I have about 13 forms like this, so in the long run it will save a lot.So for example....I...

Fill text field with checkbox choice gretchenhs42 - Adobe LiveCycle
I don't think I can do this, but is there a way to fill a text box with a checkbox choice? So I have 10 checkboxes that are connected only in the sense that in the click field I have the other checkboxes.rawValue=0;The business wants me to pre-fill the text field with the value that is selected in these checkboxes.Ideas? We made them checkboxes, because the business also wanted to be able to uncheck the box if they decide they don't want the coverage.

Re: Required fields when not submitting form gretchenhs42 - Adobe LiveCycle
Thank you RObert for your post, this has a lot of good stuff in the whole thread of the post. I'm not a programmer though, so some of it seems over my head. I'm going to try and wade through it and see if I can figure anything out.Gretchen

Re: Required fields when not submitting form gretchenhs42 - Adobe LiveCycle
Were you able to find a solution for this? It's almost like I need a validation tool, to make sure that all questions are answered (that are required) before the print stage. When you use the print button for this, it comes up with the error, but also presents the print dialogue box, that needs to be closed before each time.Would love to hear if you figured out a way to do this. Thanks

Radio button creates mandatory field gretchenhs42 - Adobe LiveCycle
I have a form that has several radio buttons and corresponding Comment boxes. When the user chooses the No radio button, I want the comments section to become mandatory. So I wrote if (RadioQ2.rawValue=="2"){ Q2.mandatory }In the binding tab, the No item has a value of 2.RadioQ2 is the radio buttons and Q2 is the comments for question 2.This works for No, but also gives the same message for Yes (which = 1).I am certainly not a programmer by any means, so what I have is probably not correct, but I ...

Keep zero in date format gretchenhs42 - Adobe LiveCycle
I've been searching and searching for this answer.I have a Date field in a form on LiveCycle. This is not a field that anyone enters the date, but it simply puts the current date in.I would like it to keep the 0's in the format. So if the date is 01/08/2014, I want it to read as this, not 1/8/14.I'm using this value in an invoice field where I am concating two fields together and I want the 0's to stay.Any help would be great. Thanks!

Concat a date and numeric field gretchenhs42 - Adobe LiveCycle
Hello all and Happy Holidays.I am trying to ( I think) concat two fields. The requirement is that the Invoice field will = the UserID followed by the date.So if User ID = 1234 and the date is 12/23/13, the Invoice Number should be 1234122313.I've tried various things and I'm not having luck. I'm not a programmer, so have been trying to use the built in functions of FormCalc.Any guidance would be valuable and appreciated.I am on Version 10.0.2.20120224 blah blah blahAlso the Date field is being do...
