Is cq:actionConfigs deprecated? - Adobe Experience Manager 15-10-2015
cq:actionConfigs seems like a useful approach for some work I need to do. This page https://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/javadoc/com/day/cq/wcm/msm/api/ActionConfig.html lists a Java class of that name as being deprecated, but this page https://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/developing/components.html doesn't say anything about that. Is the functionality deprecated? Is there a replacement approach for getting this functionality? Thanks

Re: JSPs not recompiling after edit - Adobe Experience Manager 15-10-2015
We tried for months to get a daycare account setup without success. I can work through our client to get the request filed, but in the interim, is there something I can do? This is v5.4

JSPs not recompiling after edit - Adobe Experience Manager 15-10-2015
I'm having a heck of a time with JSPs not being recompiled after I edit them, and it seems to be getting worse over the last couple weeks. I've had some success with modifying the lastModified date of the JSP, but today even that is not working. I also looked at the lastModified date on the .java and .class files in /var/classes, and I see that they are incorrect - they're several hours in the future. Is there a different clock being use for those that I can check? Is there something beside the ...

Preventing the auto-created divs in publish mode - Adobe Experience Manager 15-10-2015
I inherited some code from another agency that looks like thisif (WCMMode.fromRequest(request) != WCMMode.EDIT && WCMMode.fromRequest(request) != WCMMode.DESIGN && null != componentContext ) { componentContext.setDecorate(false); componentContext.setDecorationTagName(""); componentContext.setDefaultDecorationTagName(""); }to prevent CQ from auto-generating divs around components. It's in the page's body.jsp, and seems to affect the entire site. I like the results I've seen - are there any gotcha...

Re: (AEM 5.6.0) Teaser Performance Problems on webpage scroll - Adobe Experience Manager 15-10-2015
It looks like we just unbound all "mousemove" events from the $CQ copy of jQuery.

This sounds like something we saw in v5.4. There's JS in the segmentation framework that tracks your mouse position for segmentation purposes. I can't remember for sure, but I think we ended up using our own JS to remove the event listener for mouse move that CQ had created.

Using a parsys as the page header - Adobe Experience Manager 15-10-2015
Are there any recommendations for or against using a parsys as the page's header, and allowing an author to drag on a logo, menu, etc, versus coding those into the JSPs associated with the page's template? I'd probably set the path of that header parsys to some common locations, so changes affect all pages. The use case is that I have a client who wants to push their agencies to build websites in CQ and use some common set of templates and components, but I expect a lot of variability in what the...

Versioning components - Adobe Experience Manager 15-10-2015
Is there a way to support multiple versions of a component? Supporting multiple versions of JSPs seems to be doable, but a couple things I'm not sure of. One would be versioning dialogs...could I put something in place that would respond to the dialog.overlay.infinity.json request and choose between multiple dialogs? The other would be handling calls out to OSGi bundles - I think it's supposed to be possible to have multiple versions of a bundle in Felix, but how would that be referenced in a JS...
